I turned towards the noise and it was Malai, she had tears running down her face. "Cmere ma ma why you wake up?" "W-where did you go" I hugged her putting my head in her neck.
"I just grabbed me some water, come on let's go back to sleep ma ma." I picked her up and carried her back to her room.
"Please don't leave me Harlem" "I swear I won't" I kissed her forehead and she smiled closing her eyes.

Next day
"Malai you coming with me today?" "Where you going?" We were on her couch watching death note. "I gotta go to the studio and edit some stuff." "Ok I'll come hold up let me get dressed."
She came back ten minutes later in my hoodie and some jean shorts. "Where you get my hoodie from I've been looking for that Lai" "you want it back?" "No it's coo I was just lookin for it my bad ma ma."
I stood up making sure I had my keys and holding my hand out as she took it.
"I need to run to the store first, that's ok?" She nodded and I started my car up pulling off.
"What do you want to eat ma ma?" "Um I don't know" I noticed her eyes where looking somewhere else so I looked at what she was looking at.
It was a group of niggas eyeing her down. Get in front of me." I mumbled and pulled her in front of me holding her had.
"You want some pineapples?" "Mhm can you get the juice too, and also juice." "Mhm" she was leaning on me as I grabbed everything.
When she usually got like this she didn't like for people to start acting weird towards her. I remember when she first did this and I tried to give her space, she thought I was disgusted with her and that I viewed her differently.
She didn't want space, she just wanted to be treated the same. "You need to eat some dinner tho ma ma what about spaghetti and fish?" "No" "well then at least tell me what you in the mood for."
"Tacos" "I'll just order our tacos then. That's all you want ma ma? Youn want nothin else no candy." "Um some suckers" I nodded and took her to the candy aisle.
I let her pick out what ever candy she wanted and then we went to the self checkout.
I paid for everything and we walked out the store.
"You still tired?" I asked her noticing her head was leaning against the window and her eyes where closed.
"Mhm just a lil"
We made it to my house and I put everything in the fridge and we headed to my studio area.
"You the only one that gets to see this snippet so don't go telling nobody Malai" "I won't" I played the song editing things that he told me too.
"I don't really like rap music more like slow rap." "Me too but it's only some rappers I can listen to without slow rap."
As I was doing that I told Malai to get our order delivered. "You want nachos or tacos?" She asked me. "Steak tacos"
I sent him the final thing and he responded back five minutes later thanking me before sending me my money. I charge by the client, if they a lil beginner they get 8k and lower I felt like that was a good price.
But if you not then I charge you hella, it's just money and they act like they got a lot so gimme some.
"Cmere" we was currently watching the butterfly affect. "No our tacos our here" she said getting up and walking towards my door opening it, she said thank you to the door dashed before walking back.
"I'm thinking about doing me a little picnic to clear my mind." We where talking about our plans and I nodded. "Yeah I seen your Instagram posts about your picnics I like your dresses."
"You do thank you" I hummed smiling I laid my head on her shoulder as I closed my eyes. "Are you tired?" "A lil" "I noticed you're more tired lately Harlem have you not been getting sleep?" "No ma ma I haven't lately."
She hummed "ok well make sure you rest more"
I didn't even realize I fell asleep until I woke up with the tv light shining and my head resting on her stomach. I checked the time and it was 3:42 I rubbed my eyes sitting up.
I picked her up and she started to whine. "What are you doin?" She said but she was definitely still half asleep. "I'm just takin you to my room ma ma" she nodded and closed her eyes again resting her head on my shoulder.
I laid down with her starting to doze right back off.
