Hello people This is Chapter 32 and it's gonna be interesting as Shreya finally solves the case but what about Rishi.....well for that let's read...

Two weeks.
That’s how long it took to pull apart the lies.
Day after day, Shreya stood before the court, methodically laying down every thread of truth she had uncovered. What had started as a defense turned into an unraveling—a meticulous expose of a fraud so buried under polished statements and digital trail scrubs that only someone obsessed, relentless, and fiercely principled could have cracked it.
Her cross-examinations were brutal, but fair. The witnesses—some hostile, some simply scared—buckled under her precise questioning. She exposed the falsified compliance signatures, presented expert testimony on digital forgery, and traced the flow of money through dummy shell accounts right back to Amit Kale.
The day she entered the email logs into evidence—the ones that proved Kale had authorized the timestamp manipulations—there was a perceptible shift in the room. Even the prosecution looked uneasy. The judge called for a recess, murmurs rising in the gallery like a tide.
Rishi had only shown up once before that. The second day.
He sat quietly at the back of the courtroom, his face unreadable. He didn’t speak to her, didn’t make eye contact. Just watched.
She didn’t chase.
She had work to do.
But it weighed on her—his silence. His absence. She told herself it didn’t matter, that the case came first. That his pain wasn’t hers to carry unless he wanted to share it.
Still, every night she passed by his name on her call list. And every night she didn’t press it.
Then came the final day.
The courtroom was silent as the judge delivered the ruling: not guilty.
Not just that—wrongfully accused. Rishi’s suspension was lifted. The blame placed squarely on Kale and a few complicit executives who had fled to Singapore.
Shreya stood still, not smiling, just breathing. Deeply. Slowly. Like she’d been underwater for weeks and finally surfaced.
She turned to where Rishi had been sitting.
Empty.
She scanned the room. Looked toward the hallway.
Nothing.
He was gone.
She made her way outside, weaving past reporters, ignoring questions, eyes scanning the steps of the courthouse. But all she found were strangers and sunlight.
A colleague approached, clapped her on the back. “You did it, Shreya. You buried them.”
She nodded absently. “Thanks.”
But her eyes were still on the road.
He had left.
No message. No note. No call.
Just… absence.
She stood there for a long moment before walking down the steps, each one heavier than the last.
Not because he wasn’t there to thank her.
But because somewhere deep inside, she knew he wasn’t running from the world anymore.
He was still running from her.
To Be Continued…
Well that's a wrap on Chapter 32! Stay tuned for Chapter 33!!
