The problems of an average teenage girl

Chapter one

My name is Bess. Wow great start! I haven't even writer a few sentences and I'm probably boring the hell out of you. Well I am pretty boring so....just be prepared. Anyway this is my story of how someone so average like me can learn to shine and ride through all the terrible things in their lives, and trust me, I have ALOT.

*beep*beep*beeeeeep*

Uhhhh Mondays. I hate Monday's. I hit the snooze button of the alarm as I rolled out of bed. I looked at myself in the mirror and freaked. It was the first day of school after Sumer and I have a freakin PIMPLE! I hate my life so much right now, why can't I be normal, beautiful, cool, popular and rich like my bestfriend harper. My phone started vibrating so I picked it up
B (Bess): hello

H (harper): hi we have BIG planning to do

B:uhhhh what planning?

H: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL PLANNING IDIOT!

B: *ineardly groans* okay okay, what are you wearing?

H: well I was thinking my new cropped black Lacey top with leather shoulders and bow on the back with my ripped denim shorts and studded boots. Also my gold chunky necklace with diamond earrings! What do you think?

B: uhhh yeah I'm sure that will work!

H: enough about me what are you wearing?

B: um not sure yet*mother calls* I've got to go bye!

I looked at my clothes and groaned. I need to go shopping soon. 

I suddenly remembered the new outfit I got for today.

I pulled it out of my dusty wardrobe, perfect! It was a tight fitting crop top and high waisted studded shorts, a flower flowy thing and gold sandals (the title cover for this book)

I slapped on some makeup and went downstairs, grabbing my bag on the way.

I walked into the school and saw harper and ran up to her.

"Hey girl" she squealed.

"Hey" 

she was in a totally different outfit to what she described on the phone. Seriously that girl!

I walked to my locker and pulled some books out.

As I turned around I bumped into someone, making me fall to the floor and drop all my books.

I started panicking as usual and then tried to gather my books up with shaking hands.

I caught my breath as someone placed a hand on mine and looked up. It was Brandon Walsh. THE Brandon Walsh

"Sorry about knocking you there" he said

"Oh don't worry T all"

"So seriously, let me help you with this books" I sighed in bliss as he stood up with me

"I'm sorry I never caught you name?" He said

"Um it um Bess" I stuttered

"See you around Bess" he Grinned and he walked away.

Harper came up to me and froze my melting heart.

"You don't think he actually likes you do you?" She laughed "as if, he only likes sexy girls, like me"  she laughed again but it sounded dead to me. She nudged me as she swung her butt around trying to act cool

I ran to the bathroom trying to contain my tears. I felt terrible and just as I was about to clear myself up the bell rang.

I ran to first class, maths. Who cares about maths! As I listened to the teacher drone on and on I started to doodle in my book

(Time lapse to lunch)

I walked into the cafeteria and saw my group of friends, except harper. Instead I saw her at the "hot and popular table" I looked at her and she grinned at me

I walked over to her 

"Oh um hey Bess, why are you here?" She smiled sweetly

"Oh I could ask you the same thing" I returned her sweet and innocent act

"Oh Bryce, Kimberly and Brandon just wanted to see if I would go on a double date" she smiled flirtatiously at Brandon

"Oh with who" I tried to act surprised

"With Brandon" she grinned at him and took his hand as if they were already dating.

My mind replayed what she said earlier on. I started to feel dizzy so I tried to walk away but I started to feel the ground beneath me sway and I started to fall.

I was brought to an abrupt halt as Brandon but his arms around

me, saving me AGAIN

"Thanks" I breathes staring into his eyes

Oh it was my pleasure, Bess" he said

I smiled weakly as he helped me up. Harper looked at me hatefully and sat down on Brandon's lap when he hit back on the bench. He sighed and looked at me sideways whilst I giggled to cover up my tears

"You go girl" Tiffany applauded me at our table as I told my friends what happened

"Yeah but harper was such a bitch, I do t know how she could do that to you" whispered Hannah.

I looked at everyone ready to comfort me when my "bestfriend" was the reason. I realised that these girls were my best friends; Lisa, Tiffany, Hannah and autumn.

After school I walked home to find mp parents shouting at each other

I crept behind the stairs to listen to them.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!" My mother screamed

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IM THE SANE ONE HERE YOU ARE COMPLETELY MAD" my father shouted back

"YEAH I MUST HAVE BEEN TO MARRY YOU! I WANT A DIVORCE" she said

I looked up scared and my heart sunk into my soul. I let the tears run and I ran to my room
