"The moment i spoke"
---
Emily sat on Rose’s couch, a mug of steaming chamomile between her palms. She hadn’t said a word in nearly five minutes — just stared at the swirling tea like it might spell out the answers she needed.
Rose raised a brow. “Okay, you’re either pregnant, possessed, or you've finally found a ghost boyfriend.”
Emily blinked. “What?”
“You’re acting haunted,” Rose said, plopping beside her. “Spill.”
Emily exhaled slowly. “I think… someone else was inside the memory.”
That wiped the smirk off Rose’s face.
“You mean, like another memory keeper?”
Emily nodded. “But not like us. He didn’t feel... human. Or maybe just not kind. The memory started falling apart. Ryan’s image flickered. Like something was forcing him out.”
Rose leaned forward, eyes sharp now. “And he spoke?”
“Yeah. Said I wasn’t supposed to be there.”
Silence.
Then Rose whispered, “What if he’s guarding something?”
Emily looked up. “You mean the final memory?”
Rose nodded slowly. “You said no one’s been able to access it. Maybe... he’s not just a rival. Maybe he’s a lock. A keeper of the keeper.”
Emily felt a chill run through her spine.
Maybe she was never meant to open Ryan’s last memory. But maybe… she was the only one who could.

Here’s a short and heartfelt message you can post on Wattpad to apologize to your readers for the long break due to school stress:

Hey Lovelies
I want to sincerely apologize for being away for so long. I know many of you have been waiting patiently for the next chapter, and I truly appreciate your support and love.
Life has been a bit overwhelming lately — school has taken a huge toll on me, and balancing everything has been tough. Writing is my passion, and I hate that I’ve had to put it on pause, even for a while. Please bear with me.
