All what she was hoping was to meet Aurora and for any reason spark up a conversation maybe just maybe they could become good friends. Well, Scarlett just engrossed herself into the notes totally losing focus of her surroundings and not even noticing the new fellow Aurora approaching to sit behind her seat. She got startled when their Class teacher miss Sofia entered the class and greeted the students. Students greeted her back in unison.

Scarlett realized that it was already 8. Miss Sofia started her lecture and Scarlett got engrossed in it before she felt a light tap on her shoulder. She flinched slightly but masked it with a smile when she realized who it was.

"Oh, hi! What's the matter?" Scarlett asked more of surprised to suddenly see that person right behind her. "I needed your notes for I don't have them for the past few lectures." Aurora replied. "Oh, why not? Sure! Here take these." Scarlett told giving her the notes she wanted. "Thanks a lot I appreciate it. I'll return them back after the lunch break." Aurora replied grinning in appreciation.

Scarlett ever being the most introvert being couldn't muster up the courage to even talk to Aurora on any random topic. There first interaction turned out to be the last one or Scarlett thought just so, as Aurora had to go out of the country because her father had some business dealings out there.

Well of course she would be back. It's not as if she is gonna live there forever. Wait wait wait, why am I thinking all of this. Who is she after all. Gosh what am I even thinking about right now..... that's what Scarlett was thinking while trying to finish her homework.

Several months later something unexpected happened. Scarlett had nearly discarded the thought of having an understanding close friend when she received a message from an unknown number. She opened the message with suspicion in her eyes.

"Hi there! It's Aurora. I hope you are doing well. Would you mind sending me the important school work done in the school? I'd really appreciate it!"

Scarlett was clearly astonished. It had been several months since she had last seen Aurora. Right now it was vacations and Scarlett was quietly sitting in her room doing some homework given by the teachers. At first she was astonished of what to do, what to say and how to reply. As it was for the very first time anyone from her school had messaged her. She reluctantly opened the chat and replied her.

"Hi there! I'm doing well. Hoping the same for you. Sure I am sending all the work in a while."

With that she sent all the required work to Aurora. She carefully sat the mobile down on the side table and laid down on the bed quietly staring at the ceiling and thinking of the interaction on phone. That's how she was. Always overthinking about how she made others feel and how they thought about her. Maybe that's how all the introverts are right? Anyways she was contented that she did the best of what she could do. Of course sending the classwork of about a month of all subjects wasn't easy at all but her overthinking didn't let her take the credit and she ended up thinking that it was just an easy task.

Well, time flew by and now the final exams came right after those vacations. Both of them didn't get to contact after that, just too busy in exams preparations and whatever they were up to. During the exams the news of COVID spread rapidly. when the virus became lethal everything came to a stop: offices, malls, schools, life itself — everything came to a complete halt. Luckily, the exams were already over and the seventh grade ended up in online classes.
