"heyyy! Come on guys keep up!" i yell at my friends while we all laugh, I'm the fastest from three of us. And they thought they could beat me haha!
It is already night, only some lights make our town shine. While running i love observing things. Like beautiful and modern houses, surrounded by gardens, plants, flowers. Most of them are in Ms. Thompson's house. She knows every plant in the world.. she even sells some and teaches us how to protects nature.. she is kind and mature at the same time.. she waves at me while watering roses, i wave back with a smile.
Then somebody gently punches my shoulder, i look beside me as Emily winks. "And i did! Let's see who wins!"
She said with a smirk, i looked other side to see Micah they both ran beside me, it would actually be very funny if we all won, together, as a trio! I see finish, so close to us. We take each others hand.
"Trio forever?" I said look at both of us. But they kept laughing. I was confused, we were inches from finish.

I'm confused.. they don't answer and as I cross the finish, suddenly i don't see them anymore. They just disappeared.. i look around.. town suddenly feels empty. Lifeless.. i look up at finish words, which are torn. no 'i' there.. i thought it is just some kind of a prank.. i look at windows of every house.. they look abandoned, buildings ugly with ripped walls, some of them broken. As if a zombie apocalypse killed everybody, even zombies eventually.. i tried to come closer to houses, but as i started...
My sight started to blur.. i immediately ran back, my sight became normal again...
I went back to Ms. Thompson's garden, looking from afar, i watched her favorite flowers slowly dying.. losing it's beauty and color.. everything felt so empty.. A cool shiver ran down my body.. i felt cold. Colder than ever.. even with my jacket on.. i didn't get what was happening.
"Hey come on! It is not funny guys. It is your silly pranks right?!" I said annoyed with a tremor in my voice. Looking around for hidden camera, I ran forwards maybe this place has an exit. Instead i ran into something bard. I saw a mirror, crashed, half destroyed.. i came closer to it. I looked at myself, the same me.. but colorless.. serious, eyes half-lidded..almost.. tired, red as if she was crying nonstop.. souless..
I was terrified, i had no words.. i never look so horrible.. well, when i woke up at the morning.. but like this.. i put my hand up to touch it, but i stopped halfway as i heard.
'Don't.'
The voice commanded me. It was soft. Broken. Hurt. The exact same as mine. Which echoed through my ears.. i swallowed and pulled it back.. i observed her, she didn't even move. Blink. Just looked at me, making me feel... guilty? But why.. i didn't do anything..
'This all. It is your fault.'
What? Before i could say anything else.. i heard Emily's and Micah's voices calling for me. I blinked and my sight became blurry. After a second i saw my friends looking down at me, with a big smiles and chuckles. I sit up and look around horrified. I'm.. In Emily's room.. i touched my forehead and looked at her. She rolled her eyes and threw clothes at me.
"Change girl! Faster, before our teacher pulls a detention out for us, because we will be late for her class again!" She told me before she hurried grabbing books for school. Micah, was already ready, just brushing his brown hair. With a smirk.
"You girls are always soo slow. You sweared you would wake up earlier than me. I ended up being one ready waiting for your asses to put on some cute make up." Emily glared at his comment, while i tried to understand what the heck happened. If i was asleep that means.. it was just a dream.. but it felt so real. I sigh and went to the bathroom, putting on a cute light pink top and baggy jeans with a jeans jacket as it was cold outside..
Finally after getting ready, we all left in a hurry. Taking lunch, Avery, Emily's mom made us. Thankfully, we managed to get in the school bus.
