Y/n stood at the entrance of the university campus, her backpack hanging loosely on one shoulder and her heart pounding like it was auditioning for a drum solo. "Okay, deep breath... you've got this," she whispered to herself, even though her legs clearly disagreed and wanted to run back home.
There were students everywhere. Some looked confident, some were totally lost, and some already had coffee in hand like they'd been doing this for years. Y/n looked down at her map and then up at the endless buildings. "Is this a school or a maze?" she mumbled.
Orientation had started.
A cheerful senior wearing a neon lanyard waved her over. "You must be new! First year?"
"Is it that obvious?" Y/n asked with a small laugh.
"Just a little," the girl winked. "Come on, we've got a campus tour, and there's pizza later if you survive."
Survive? That wasn't exactly comforting.

She gave me a campus tour, I got my class schedule, and now I'm heading to my very first lecture: Introduction to Astronomy.

"Today, we begin our journey through the stars. You are not just students— you are explorers of the universe..."
That's the only sentence I managed to hear before completely dozing off. Great start, right?
The next thing I knew, I was being jolted awake by a loud voice and a firm shake on my shoulder.
"HOW DARE YOU SLEEP IN MY CLASS?" the professor barked, making everyone in the room freeze.
I blinked rapidly, panicked and embarrassed.
"If you don't like my course, you don't have to stay. Get out."
For a second, I honestly thought about grabbing my stuff and leaving. But I bit my tongue.
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again," I said softly.
That... was a lie.
The professor huffed and continued the lesson without sparing me another glance.
I really want to go back home.
The truth? I didn't even pick this course. I mean, yes, I've always loved the stars, the moon, the idea of other galaxies—space fascinates me. But studying it seriously? That was never my dream.
My parents decided for me.
"Since you love the universe so much, study astronomy," they said.
I didn't argue.
Mostly because... I didn't even know what I truly wanted to do.

Thank God that was the only class for the day. Now I'm heading to my dorm... which I have no idea how to find.
I have the number of my room, sure—but where exactly is that?
Maybe I'm just dumb.
I think I'm in the wrong area, because otherwise, why are there so many guys staring at me like I'm some walking fish?
