Hawks, pro hero number 2, sat in his office chair at his agency. He held a piece of paper, probably a letter, in his hands.
'Is this some fan post again or what?' Hawks thought while opening the letter. But as soon as his yellow eyes started to read letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence, his face went from slight annoyance to nervousness and slight frustration. His leg started bouncing up and down. He seemed tense.
"Hello Hawks,
You may ask yourself who wrote this letter and what I want from you. I will tell you. Meet me at the park at 3 a.m. and do NOT bring any other heroes with you." No signature at the end, neat handwriting. Not even a single mistake. Nothing that could give away who this letter was written by.
'What the...' Hawks thought, slowly putting the letter aside. His mind was racing. He stared at the letter on his desk, reading it all over again, then again, and again...
'Who is this from? What do they want from me?' He thought, scenarios filling his mind. Could it be a stalker? A fan? A villain? Hawks wasn't sure. Hell. He was nervous and uncertain.
"No other heroes" These three words made Hawks suspicion, that the letter came from someone, who wasn't quite the fan of heroes, grow.
Hawks sat there. Staring at the letter with an unsure and slightly frustrated gaze. He then pulled out his phone and texted someone. Dabi.
Hawks didn't like it. He really didn't. Dabi and him always had some kind of verbal sparring like throwing insults, threats and glares at each other like they would want to murder each other on the spot. Yet he found himself texting Dabi. He didn't even know where he got Dabis number but at the moment, he didn't care. He typed fast, not waiting for a response as he quickly shoved his phone back in his pocket.
'I hate it... But he knows people... Other villains... And maybe the person who wrote the letter.' Hawks thought. He rubbed his face and ran a hand through his hair. This was either the most stupidest idea of his life or a possible positive one. He didn't know what to do. His mind told him to text Dabi and the worst part was he didn't even know why. It was like a bold feeling he got. He already started to regret his actions but he didn't change anything. He could've deleted the message, blocked Dabi and burned the letter. But... If it was really a stalker that wrote that letter, they'd probably know where Hawks lived, his habits and everything else. And Hawks couldn't risk that.
He looked at the letter on his desk again, still feeling frustrated and nervous, but he forced himself to look away. He folded the letter neatly and shoved it into the jacket of his hero costume. Then he went back to hero work, like reports and all that to keep himself and his mind busy, to not think of that stupid letter.
-Later, around 7 p.m.-
Hawks got up from his office chair, grabbed his jacket and opened the window. He perched on the windowsill and spread his wings. The wind was blowing in his face as he took off and soared through the sky. The sun was already setting, casting a orange light over the city beneath him. It was quiet... Or for at least quieter than usual. No heavy traffic, no villain activities, just peace and quiet... Which was kinda suspicious but Hawks didn't care at the moment. He had to meet Dabi. Now.
-A few minutes later-
Hawks descended his flight and landed in front of an old warehouse on the outskirts of the city. He scanned the area before walking in, cautiously making his way through the old and cracked hallways. He didn't want to draw attention so he kept his quiet pace. Hawks arrived at a door and opened it, revealing a big yet empty room with a few crates and a desk in the middle. The hero walked inside, closing the door silently behind him. He was feeling nervous, more nervous than a few hours ago. The thought that Dabi, the villain who had an obsession with committing arson, would come through that door any moment made him feel uneasy. Not like he couldn't handle Dabi. Hell he could kick his ass if he wanted to. Even though it would probably causing him to loose at least some feathers or his whole wings.
Hawks waited. Not impatient, not pacing, just waiting, slightly nervous but he waited.
He didn't have to wait long though. The door crept open a few minutes later and there he was. Dabi. His usual villain outfit on, small blue flames flickering in his palm. The usual stoic expression on his face. Dabis eyes widened slightly but narrowed a second later into a confused, skeptical kind of glare.
"Hawks?"
To be continued...
