Forever isn't Always

Prologue

"How could this happen?" I ask

"It's not like Sebastian's magic can just disappear when he's dead, magic is long lasting but does fade after the spells maker is killed" Lucia says and we all nod, still trying to understanding

"I still don't get why Sebastien would make Harry think Jess was dead, what did that get him and Caine? All of that happened before Rose, forty years actually, Harry didn't even know us?" Marcus says

"He's been plotting his revenge on you forever" Caden says but Marcus looks deep in thought "he could have known something, Sebastian could have seen Harry being one of us, I met Harry right after Jess passed. I know Nate knew Harry and Jess a little before then, when our base got split up for two different battles. I met Harry after Nate brought him back when Jess...."

Nate walks in the room sighing and putting away his phone "I knew her, but hardly. I met them both on one of our scouts...a week later Harry came to me, he looked dead and I was the only friend he had so I took him in, knowing he'd kill himself if I didn't" Nate says and I flinch at the thought "it was two months before he left the bed, I brought humans to him, when our bases were brought back together I took Harry with me and after sometime he got a little better"

"But why? Why would Sebastian do this" Marcus asks, his blue eyes are deep in

Everyone stays silent for a moment before Lucia speaks up "We'll have to wait for Evangeline....she's the only one who may know something"

We stay quiet, everyone confused around us...first we wait for Evangeline and maybe she can explain then...we break the news to Harry. The one thing in my mind though is the girl I thought was Jess and how she seemed...off, nothing like the Jess Harry described to me.

"Nothing" Evangeline sighs leaning herself against Marcus's desk, emerald eyes clear and tired after trying to see Jess

"Nothing? How could there be nothing? The mark is full and Rose may have seen her, you're telling me you never saw a girl that fits the description in Caine's camp?! And even now you can't see her?" Marcus demands holding me to him while we stand around his office, Harry still asleep in bed upstairs

"If you hadn't heard I was kinda trapped my whole time with Caine, you know being tortured and all" she snips, Marcus sighs with a groan, his grip tightening

"What are we supposed to tell Harry?" Nate asks, green eyes concerned

"What can we tell him?" Jade asks "the moment he hears this he's going to want to leave and try to find her" she says leaning back on Caden

"He won't stay around for information he's going to just go" Caden says and I know he's right

Harrys isn't going to wait for an explanation of what happened, he's just going to want to find her. If she was in the camp with Caine and Sebastian what did they do to her? Did they brain wash her? Torture her? Did she laugh at my bracelet because she was mad that Harry gave it to me or did she because she was happy he moved on? It's hard to remember all that happened in there, I was so confused and out of it. Where is she now that she's free of Caine? Is she looking for Harry?

"If my predictions are correct and Harrys small details of what happened during her 'death', that I heard from Nate, Jess and Harry won't be able to have there mate bond back until they kiss, like you and Rose" she points to us "but if Sebastian was there when she 'died' and put the spell on them together, then me kissing Harry will be blank and neither of us will be able to see her" she explains and I take a deep breath, so confused on what to do next
