"Your kidding right?" My voice echoed in my room. Glitch sat beside me on my bed taking note of what is said.
I look at Glitch solemnly, praying that he was just playing with me. But Glitch shook his head, slowly everything turned dark around me. I blankly stared at Glitch who hung his head lowly. It felt like a part of me was slowly dying. Like someone was pulling our stitches apart.
"You can't move! What am I supposed to do on the weekends?!"
"We can keep in contact. It's not like I'm leaving and you'll never hear from me again."
I furrowed my eyebrows and look into Glitch's eyes. My dear childhood friend, who has lived across me for 6 years is finally leaving me. Then to make it worse I might never see his face ever again.
"Your leaving by the end of this summer, right?" I look at Glitch.
"Yea...why?"
"Well, I have an idea! We should like spend everyday together as much possible."
"Oh, kinda like that time you had to go to summer camp for a month and we hung out all week."
"Exactly!"
"Remember when we went to Taye's house party. And we checked out the pool but because we had no swimsuits I told you we should go skinny dipping? Man! You should have seen your face." Glitch stuck out his tongue playfully at me.
I shoved him and blushed abit.
"I thought you were playing!"
"I was!"
"Oh so your saying you DON'T want to see my body?" I challenged.
Glitch turned into a deep scarlet red.
"I-I was-ly What time is it?"
"Uh 9:42."
"Aww shit I gotta go. I was supposed to be home at 9:30."
I stood up and stretched. Glitch slowly stood on his legs and stretched with me.
"See you tomorrow than (y/n)?"
"Of course!"
I hugged him tightly and inhaled his scent that I know so well. I really didn't want to let him go. I could hold him forever if it meant he wouldn't move away.
"I have to go remember?" He chuckled.
"Oh yea my bad." I nervously force out a laugh. I let him go and watch him leave through my door.
"I guess I should get some rest too." I thought to myself. I walked over to my drawer and looked at myself through the mirror.
"Man I look awful." I murmured.
Then I hear the door slam to my house. I raced toward the window and watch Glitch cross the street and toward his door. Glitch looks back directly at me and waves at me. I froze for a moment, feeling like a creeper for just watching. I smile and wave back. I back away slowly once I see him enter his house. I tossed myself on the bed and tried thinking of ways I can make this the BEST summer ever. Something where it would last year's of endless laughter.
