I am tired carrying my luggages as I walk from the Victory Liner going down to SM Sky Ranch where I can see tranco and aurora mini buses that goes around the central business district area of Baguio City.
I crossed on two pedestrian lane to go to the side walk where I can wait the mini buses to so I could ride one while having a maleta that has my everything and also a backpack. Good thing I dont have to worry getting bangga of a vehicle here as I have researched that Baguio has a King of the Road Ordinance that keeps people safe from accidents on pedestrian laness, and the drivers here are actually disciplined unlike to other cities and provinces here in the Philippines.
It did not get me a minute before I can para a mini bus. As the mini bus stops in front from where I am at on a sidewalk waiting, the driver lets the people waiting near me cross on the pedestrian.
I carried my luggage para makasakay sa mini bus, nahirapan ako maiakyat papasok pero someone helped me carry it para maiakyat ko kasi I am having a hard time, I thanked the good person who looked like an uncle for helping me and I sat near the door where I can see in the windows that it is for PWDs, Senior, and Pregnant Women. I just sat there because that was the only available seat and is easy for me later if bababa na ako.
I looked over the driver, there is a signage there that says 12 pesos fare for student, pwd, senior, and 15 pesos for a regular person.
“Pa-abot po, thank you.” I said to the person across me to pass my fare to other passengers to get through the driver.
When the driver got my fare I said, “Kuya, isang sudyante po" because I gave 20 peso bill and I need my change.
Kuya driver looked at the mirror in front of him to look at who said that and saw me looking at him waiting for my change, he then gets the barya one handedly because his left hand is steering the wheel.
As the bus starts moving I can see from where I am sitting at is the Sunshine Park, there are I guess from the look of them are students, sitting at the park, practicing a cultural dance and just there to be with nature.
I can see there the building of UP Baguio who I adore because of its structure, one is unfinished structure. Halos mabali and leeg ko sa paglingon din sa likod ko where I can see Sitel and Teleperformance company buildings.
We passed by the university that I enrolled to, University of the Cordilleras, we were along Harrison Road and I can see Melvin Jones Grandstand.
“Manong, ‘ttoy la igid” rinig kong sabi ng pasahero, tumigil si kuya before pedestrian kung saan tanaw ko pa rin dito ang Burnham Park, kapansin-pansing marami and taong naglalakad sa sidewalk, mapapansin mong may mga nagmamadali at meron ding chill lang ang lakad.
The bus started its engine again after dropping the 5 passengers here and others while we were caught on traffic light. The traffic was heavy here I can say, but the drivers lets other pass through an intersection as I observed during intersection lane there at Governor Pack-Harrison where we passed by.
We were now along Magsaysay, we just passed Malcolm Square and Baguio Public Market where you can see old folks carrying big eco bags and sako bags that has their napamalengke, there are many jeeps, mini buses and taxis that drops passengers there and the line is so long.
From Center Mall and Petron road I can see here SLU’s main campus, it looks so big compared to where I enrolled at, beside it is Jollibee and across Jollibee is McDonald’s. I got happy there thinking that it is somehow near my apartment.
