"What? Dude, no. I don't like pink at all. It's a cheesy color, and I am the exact opposite of that."
"Well, you two get comfy and ready up your guitars." Daisuke walks over to his drums, picking up his drum sticks and juggling them.
Saki and I take our guitars out and connect them to two of the three amplifiers Daisuke had.
I look at Saki's bass, and then at Daisuke's drums.
I look down at my guitar. A red Gibson Les Paul 60s custom.
"Oh, wait. We don't have anything to play."
"AC/DC?" I suggest.
"Maybe... What else could we play?"
Daisuke's eyes slightly widen as it's clear he has an idea.
"Mettalica!" We all shout.
For a moment, we all pause, and Saki breaks the silence by laughing. Her laugh also caused Daisuke and I to laugh.
"Gahahaha! I can't believe we all thought the same thing!" Saki says out loud while still laughing.
"What a coincidence..." Daisuke calms himself down, covering his mouth.
"Well, Metallica seems great. We can do AC/DC after, I guess. But, quick question. What's a song we all know how to play?"
"Actually, we should probably practice easier songs and then make our way up to the harder songs." Daisuke adds.
"Meh, good idea." Saki comments, shrugging.
It took way longer than we expected to decide what songs to try playing. Around fifteen whole minutes.
Finally, it was time for us to start playing. We began off with J-Rock and would proceed to play more songs and genres that are mainly played in other countries.
Saki and I look at our microphones and look back at Daisuke, giving him a thumbs up as he does it back.
"Haruka Kanata by Asian Kung Fu Generation... Let's kick ass."
Saki sighs as her fingers lie on her bass strings, and she starts the song off.
After the song...
Right after we finish with our cover, we all look at each other and laugh happily.
"Haha! Holy hell, we did great!" I shout.
"I give it a B plus." Daisuke smiled from our first song sounding well.
"Come on it's definitely an A." Saki comments.
"Alrighty... Let's keep practicing until we gotta go home." I tell Saki and Daisuke, strumming my guitar again.
"Yeah!"
"That's the spirit."
A few hours later when the sun was almost gone, I waved goodbye to my new bandmates and ran back home, hoping that I would make it back home before dinner and before my dad would arrive.
From Daisuke's place to mine, it was 15 minutes.
Very quietly, I sneak into my room through my window and put my guitar case on my bed.
"There."
Suddenly my room lights turn on, and I see my mom at my door.
"You're late."
