~chapter 13~

Phuwin slowly walked toward them...

"Pond... I need to talk to you," he said softly...

Pond looked at him for a moment, then glanced at Joong and Aou
.... Understanding the situation, both friends gave a small nod and quietly left the ground to give them space....

Phuwin waited until they were gone...Then, looking down, he asked in a shaky voice,
"Do you even know what I'm going through right now?"

Pond didn't say anything at first... He just looked away, clearly annoyed and tired...
He didn't want to talk. Not now...

Phuwin took a small step closer...
"Do you think I'm joking? Look at me, Pond... just once," he whispered...

Finally, Pond turned to him. His expression was cold...
"What?" he snapped. "Say it. I'm listening."

Phuwin swallowed hard...
Pond not being worried at all for Phuwin and that was bothering Phuwin, so he directly asked that main question....
"If someone brought a marriage proposal for me... should I say yes?" he asked carefully.

Pond let out a short laugh and replied, "Yeah, sure. Go for it."

He even smiled -Like a joke that hurt.

Phuwin's lips trembled....
"So... should I marry Ohm then? If he brings a proposal, should I say yes?"

Pond didn't even blink...
"Yes," he said. "Of course. Go marry him. Why are you even asking me?"

Phuwin's eyes filled with tears... One drop fell slowly down his cheek...
He gave a small, broken smile...
"Okay," he whispered, almost to himself.
Then he turned around and walked away....

Then, he stopped.

He didn't turn around, but his voice was loud enough to be heard...
"I WAS going to TELL YOU everything today, POND. I had gathered SO MUCH courage to tell YOU how I FEEL... But I guess... there's NO point now."

Then he walked away into the darkness, without waiting for a response....

Pond stood there, not bothered..

The night suddenly felt heavy....

Phuwin quietly entered his house....

He saw his mom in the kitchen making dinner...He simply walked to his room, closed the door behind him... and locked it...

The moment the lock clicked, he fell on his bed like he had no strength left.
His heart was heavy...

"What did I just hear from Pond today...?" he thought...
His chest ached...

And then... the tears started. Again...

But this time, it wasn't just crying.
It was loud sobbing - deep and painful, like his heart was breaking all over again...

He hugged his pillow and cried harder..

After some time, when his voice had gone silent and his eyes were tired, he sat up slowly...
He didn't want to feel alone anymore. He needed someone...

So, he called the only person he could trust - Phi Dunk .

As soon as Dunk picked up, Phuwin didn't hold back...crying and telling every single things that's going on in his mind...

Every. Single. Thing...

From Ohm's marriage proposal... to what Pond said tonight...
All of it.

Dunk's voice was sharp with anger.
"What the hell?! What's wrong with Pond , does he want to get beaten?!! And now what does that fvcker Ohm want, did he propose to you?!"
