I'm back again. Its me, Marina. I mean, I doubt you'll forget who it is because, well, I own you; a non-living stack of papers wrapped around coloured leather and connected by a plastic spine. Anyways, school was ok. Brooke and I argued over the cuteness- or lack of in my opinion- of boys in our school and what else we're packing.

Chester has been silent ever since our little "talk" you could say. He wouldn't make any immature comments when I see him in the hallway and in class. He wouldn't say hi or anything to me at all either. He's in an odd middle, which is making me feel a bit nervous and even uncomfortable to be honest. I feel like he might pull some stupid shit with me before we leave. And I swear if he does I'm going to kill him in his sleep!

I'm going to go change and get ready to meet up with Brooke and Carmen, we're apparently going to do some shopping today. Wish me luck!

I closed the book and walked over to the edge of my bed. I quickly lifted my queen sized mattress and slid the journal under it. I couldn't pack it in between my shorts because those were already packed and ready to go.

I opened up my closet and picked out a pair of dark magenta velvet pants and a navy blue, thick-knit cardigan to wear over my white tee.

I glanced at the analog clock in the corner of my room, 12:41.

19 minutes until Carmen pulls up in her older sister's white Volkswagen.

I walked to my vanity and sat on the stool staring at myself in the mirror.

There really isn't much to look at really. I had plain brown eyes, thick lips, brown skin and a mouth full of metal.

Yes, I have braces.

I suddenly remembered that I should have wrote down the date of my braces removal in my journal but shrug it off as I look back at the clock.

12:45

Alright. Let's get some work done.

I started up my flat iron and sprayed some heat protection spray in my hair. While I waited on the flat iron I decided to apply some thickening mascara and a lip pencil that is a shade or two lighter (and more red pigmented) then my pants.

My flat iron was ready so I ran it through my hair, straightening out any wavy strands of hair.

it was 1:00 PM by the time I finished, so I slid on a dark green hat with a poof on top and grabs my purse and jacket, running downstairs to tie up on my black combat boots.

By the time I finished with my boots and jacket my friends have already arrived. So I said good bye to my mother and left the house, walking swiftly to the car and sliding in the backseat.

"We can go now." I announced as I buckled myself in.

"Yes, your highness." Brooke rolled her eyes as she popped the bubble she made from her gum and drove off to the mall.

I smirked sitting back, letting Carmen start the conversation.

"Oh my god guys, in two days we will be in Perth, Australia!" She squealed with Brooke as I sat back and laughed.

"What's worse is that I'm rooming with you two!" I joked and leaned back in my seat.

We spent the rest of the ride making jokes and discussing other things about our flight. It was until we started looking through the clothing racks in Forever 21 when we started talking about things more current.
