It had to be you.
Out of all the girls I chose you.

I built walls up.

The higher they went.

The less people tried.
And the less I communicated
You grew alone and kept it to

Then a boy came along and built a gate.
With a lock and key.
And only he could walk in and out of my walls
But it changed.

Little by little my walls started to become smaller.

Why you may ask?

Because I had fallen.
Fallen in love with the most beautiful girl in the world.

You.

Every time you approach me
With a sweet smile and when your beautiful
(Y/E/C) eyes sparkle, I can't help smile.

I want to hold you

But.

My walls began to build up when you stopped smiling. The boy who had the key to my gate gave it away and graduated.

My walls were built up again
You saw me struggle

But you never came.

My gate remained locked.
Shutting out the world and others around me.

I wanted to give up this act.

I wanted to tear down these walls that made me insecure.

You had the key and went to my gate.
