Amidst the shaking earth and trembling mountains, the volcano's crater spewed out thick, black smoke.

Chi Qian swiftly pulled out the skateboard she'd assembled earlier at the hot spring and started piecing it together at lightning speed.

"No time to waste, people! Get on board!" she shouted.

Chi Fengxiao reacted the fastest, hopping on behind her, followed by Shen Jing and his son.

As the saying goes, each section stronger than the last.

One person per section—adding strength to strength.

Chi Qian gripped the skateboard's front handle, kicked off with her foot, and with a creak, the wheels spun to life, sending the board hurtling downhill along the volcano's steep slope.

"Wahoo!" Chi Qian stretched out her arms and shouted into the wind. "Like flying!"

Chi Fengxiao tugged her collar from behind. "Quit flying! The volcano's having the runs!"

Shen Jing called out, "Qian Qian, steer us down toward the slope perpendicular to the lava flow!"

Chi Qian glanced back at the volcano. "Relax, it's only a level-one mini eruption. Lava flow is slow. You can outrun it on foot."

But Gu Hua's group didn't know that.

The shadow of death loomed over them.

[Comments from the livestream:]
I thought Chi Qian was just playing with wood earlier, turns out she was crafting skateboard parts! How did she carve those wheels so smooth?!
My nerves are fried! This is my first time witnessing a real natural disaster up close.
Gu Hua's group is doomed. They had to go sightseeing at the crater—now they can't even run away fast enough.
Does Chi Qian have no humanity? She's just escaping on her own! What about the others left behind?
What, does she owe them something? She's not their babysitter.

The board shot forward with the wind at its back—until it slammed to a halt at the base of the slope with a loud clang.

Thanks to inertia, all four of them went flying two meters through the air.

Chi Qian had been ready. Using the momentum, she flipped in the air and landed neatly on her feet.

So close—almost face-planted.

The three others landed in a human pile.

"You're so graceful and aloof. You even brought your own 'Flash' spell, huh?" the others muttered bitterly.

That was terrifying but also kinda cool. I want to try it!
Try it and die. If the person in front messes up, everyone behind them eats dirt.
Thrilling? Yes. Suicidal? Also yes.

Just as Chi Qian predicted, the volcano's eruption lasted less than half an hour before calming down.

Chi Fengxiao waved away the ash in front of him. "Should've brought a mask. This stuff is choking me."

Chi Qian replied, "This was a level-one mini eruption, not much lava released. The airborne particles and debris aren't that harmful if we stay away."

Chi Fengxiao tapped her head, "What do you not know, little genius?"

Chi Qian beamed, flashing four teeth. "I don't keep things in my head."

"I only keep you."
