Chapter 12: Finding Someone to Impersonate Chi Lisen!

"Chi Qian, don't go overboard. Fangzhi and Zhiqing were so good to you, and now they can't even take their finals because of you. Yet you still have the nerve to come to the party?"

Chi Qian responded, "You're clearly delusional. You should probably buy yourself a superhero-themed urn—you might get a laugh out of it after you die."

"You—"

Gu Hua gently tugged Ling Qian's arm. "Brother Qian, I'm sure Qianqian didn't do it on purpose. There must be a misunderstanding. Right, Qianqian?"

Chi Qian gave her a fake smile. "Yeah, right. One more word out of you and I'll slap you."

Trying to steal her luck again? In your dreams.

Gu Hua looked aggrieved. "I'm just concerned about you. Besides..."

Suddenly, she raised her voice, "You're not even Chi Lisen's granddaughter! That man the other day—you hired an actor to pretend! I lived in the Chi household for over ten years. No one knows Grandpa better than me!"

She had only ever seen Chi Qian's grandfather once—and he looked like an ordinary middle-aged butler.

Chi Qian claiming to be Chi Lisen's granddaughter? Hilarious.

Gu Hua felt like the universe was on her side.

This was the perfect chance to get Chi Qian out of her sight once and for all.

The music in the private room just happened to stop, and everyone heard Gu Hua's accusation loud and clear.

"She actually hired someone to pretend her grandpa is Chi Lisen? How vain can she be!"

"I knew something was off. If she's some rich heiress, I'll screw my head off and use it as a soccer ball!"

"Crafty poor girl—pulling all kinds of stunts just to show off."

"Miss Chi, if I slap you right now, will Chi Group sue me? Boohoo~"

"Chi Group would probably applaud me! 'Nice job beating up the shameless faker pretending to be our chairman's granddaughter!'"

Someone nearby dumped a drink on Chi Qian's head.

Chi Qian instantly grabbed the culprit's arm and slammed his face onto the wine-covered table. "You think I'll let this slide?"

"Let go! Aaaah—!" the boy screamed in pain.

Ling Qian looked disgusted. "Chi Qian, enough! You got exposed by Hua Hua, and now you're freaking out? You're pretending to be the Chi chairman's relative, for God's sake!"

Chi Qian replied, "If you're so sure, why don't you call the cops?"

"What's going on here?"

Chi Lisen had been inspecting the venue and happened to walk by the room just as he heard his granddaughter's voice. He walked in.

Those who had seen him before sneered. "Another actor? Chi Qian's calling in backup."

"She's actually claiming this guy is Chi Lisen? That's hilarious."

"I've seen Chairman Chi before. He looks nothing like this!"

Gu Hua agreed. The "grandpa" she'd seen once didn't look like this at all. Chi Lisen couldn't possibly look like this.

The club manager who walked in with Chi Lisen couldn't take it anymore.

"Open your eyes, kids! This man is Chairman Chi of Chi Group! Didn't your parents teach you how to behave in public?"

Ling Qian's face darkened. "Manager Kong, you mean he's really..."

They may not have met Chi Lisen, but they had heard of Manager Kong. And Manager Kong couldn't possibly help Chi Qian fake this.

Especially since this club—Jinbi Huihuang—was owned by the Chi Group.

There's no way the manager wouldn't recognize his own boss.

"Grandpa, what are you doing here?" Chi Qian immediately dropped her fierce act and trotted over.

Her golden thigh had arrived.

"I'm here for an inspection." Chi Lisen frowned at the wine stains on her face. "Who did this to you?"

Chi Qian thought for a moment. "I don't remember. It was too chaotic just now."

She'd probably been sneak-attacked in the commotion.

Chi Lisen nodded, then turned to Manager Kong. "Get the names of everyone in this room. Blacklist them. Have their parents come pick them up."

"Why should we!" someone shouted. "Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can bully people!"

Chi Lisen lazily lifted an eyebrow. "You dared to bully my granddaughter on my property. I won't come after you—I'll come after your parents."

"If you think you've got guts, feel free to have them call me."

Everyone's faces turned pale. It was like they'd kicked a steel wall.

Their parents had warned them: If they offended Chi Qian again and caused trouble for the family business, they'd be thrown out to beg on the streets.

Why hadn't they held back?

"...Hua Hua, what's going on?" Ling Qian asked quietly, clearly shaken. "Didn't you say Chi Qian's grandfather was just a butler?"

Fake heiress tore up the script, acted lazy and dumb, and got eliminated.Where stories live. Discover now
