Chapter 29- Leaving Hospital

Jade's Pov

Finally I have been allowed to go home. We are currently driving home back to Ari's beach house. I consider this home now. My family were fine with me moving in with Ariana cause they know she'll take good care of me. But I can't wait to get back.
"Sweetie we need to talk when we get home, okay?" Ari says.
"Um okay" I say feeling scared.

We pull into the driveway and I get all excited.
"God I missed this place" I say looking at the house.
"Me too I haven't been back here since you were taken to hospital" she says.
We get inside and I turned to Ari.
"Can I please go lay down in bed I'm really tired?" I say.
"Sure. I'll be up in sec to see if you're okay?" Ari says as I walk up the stairs.

I walk up the stairs to my room and opened to door. I run to my bed and grabbed Dakota my favourite horse who had always been there for me. I lay on my bed hugging Dakota tight. I hear my door open and close but I'm not facing it but I know it's Ariana anyways.

Ariana's Pov

I walk up the stairs to Jade's room and see her door closed. My heart starts to break. I don't know what I'm going to find on the other side of the door. I open to door to see Jade laying in her bed. I walk over to her bed and she's just laying there cuddling her horse.
"Are you trying to avoid talking to me?" I ask.
"Noo" she replies.
"Lier" I say laying down behind her.
"Can we talk?" I ask speaking again.
"I guess" she says rolling over to face me.
"What's wrong?" I ask rubbing my hand up and down her arm to comfort her.
"Nothing I'm okay" she replies.
"Okay then let's talk about before the accident" I say.
"Um okay" she agrees.
"You hadn't eaten had you?" I ask getting straight to the point.
"No" she replies looking down.
"Baby why?" I ask.
"People were calling me a whale" she says looking down again avoiding eye contact.
"Baby, you mean the world to me. I love you so so soooo much and I would literally die if anything happened to you. You fainted because you hadn't eaten. I was a mess while you were in hospital. I didn't know what to do with myself. I never left your side. I'm always here for you. You can talk to me about anything. I don't care what it is and at what time. I'm always here. You need to understand that. I don't want anything bad happening to you ever again you don't deserve it. As for the people on Twitter I'll deal with them later but don't listen to what they say. If you get anything like that again. Take a deep breathe and let me know straight away" I say.
"Okay thanks Ari" she says giving me a hug.
"Now the next thing" I say looking at Jade.
"Yes" she replies.
"You called me mom just before you fainted" I say.
"I remember" she says turning red and looking embarrassed.
"Is that something that you want or is it something that you see me as. I'm confused please talk to me about it. It was stuck in my head the whole time you were in a coma" I say.
"Well I guess I just want that mother relationship. I feel safe with you. You kinda act like a mother to me and I guess it kinda slipped out. I'm sorry" she says.
"No don't be sorry. It was cute and I kinda liked it. But what if I were to say I kinda did something that could push us closer?" I say.
"What do you mean push us closer?" She asks me clearly confused.
"I signed papers so I could be your legal guardian" I say.
"Omg really?" She asks getting excited.
"Yes so you can call me mom if you want to" I say.
"Yay I have a mommy" she says pulling me into the biggest hug possible.
"I'm glad to see you so happy" I say looking at my beautiful girl.
"I am but what if people frown upon my age and me calling you mom?" She asks me.
"I don't care and neither should you all I care about is your happiness. I'm your adoptive mother and if people can't see that then there's something wrong with them" I say.
"Okay but I'm really tired" she says yawning.
I look at the clock and it reads 8:30 pm.
"You should get some rest baby. Want me to stay?" I ask.
"No I'm gonna see how I go alone tonight" she replies back.
"Okay. Come get me if you need anything. I don't care what time it is. Even if you can't get out of bed text me. I'll have my phone laying next to me. I love you baby" I say.
"I love you too mommy" she says.
I tuck her into bed and kiss her forehead. I walk to the door and turn the light off. I close her door and make my way to my room.
