-Dream-
Black, red, a flash of gold.
Colors seemed to flash and exchange before you on this landscape. You knew you had fallen into a deep rest, but you had a uneasy feeling. You walked forward into the strange abyss, only to be met with nothing. No buildings, no indicators, nothing. Sighing you adjusted your leather coat, for some reason it had become heavier and you didn't know why.
It's a dream...
You tried to reassure yourself, but for some reason you felt a feeling of dread overtake you. As you realized this buildings of the city seemed to appear around you, forming like a fog thickening. You paused your movements and watched as the swirls of darkness seemed to forge itself into every small detail, waning and bending to it's own will.
What is going on...
All you could do is question, until you saw a man. He was dressed in black, but something was off you didn't quite understand, he had a aura about him a familiar one at that. As you cautiously approached you felt a sharp pain in your shoulder, which caused you to cry out.
As you did, the male in black turned, his golden spiked hair seemed to flow against the wind, blue eyes seemed to bore into your own intently.
"Cloud?" you called out to him uneasily. You continued to feel the pain in your shoulder, you didn't dare turn around. Even so, the male seemed to ignore your calls. He held something in his hand, but you couldn't quite make it out.
You saw him reach for his weapon, a wave of uneasiness settled in your stomach as you backed away, before you knew it he was charging towards you... Then you felt a yank, before you had processed what happened, you realized you were now laying on the ground. You saw a man dressed in red, he kneeled beside you with a gun pointing towards the blonde soldier almost as if he was fighting him off.
"Who...who are you?" you questioned, but the scene had become fuzzy. You wanted to know, you grasped the edge of the mans cloak, he turned to you and all you saw was his eyes. Those red...eyes.
-end of dream-
Light filled your eyes as you sat upwards, you patted yourself down in a panic. Then you winced slightly at the sudden pain that filled your shoulder.
"What the hell..." you grumbled, then shrugging it off you stood stretching the rest of your body. Glancing over towards the clock, you cursed. You had a job to accept in a few minutes, which only made you angry while you packed to head out. As you tied your gunblade to your side you double checked you had the little items you owned on you. Nodding in approval, you quickly tied your combat boots tightly.
Couldn't hurt if I am a bit late...
You slid down the staircase railing in a quick manner, landing on your feet at the bottom you waved to Tifa letting her know you were leaving. With that done you had quickly hopped onto the bike you owned, it wasn't much. It was enough to get you by considering it was a older model. Reving the engine you quickly took off towards your next clients home.
Around 10 minutes later you parked in front of a old run down factory, noticing the men outside you raised an eyebrow, this was the right place you assumed. Walking up the steps towards the door, the men quickly pointed weapons at you.
"Calm down boys, i'm here for the bounty request." you groaned as they prodded you, then they opened the door.
"No funny business." a thin, tall man spoke as he walked towards you, motioning for you to come inside.
"Can we hurry, I missed breakfast." you yawned, noticing a seat you plopped yourself onto the couch.
"Yes, now here are the documents, " you observed the client as he seemed to shuffle for paperwork. He was wearing a lab coat, as well as some strange glasses. Bandages seemed to be all over his figure. You rolled your eyes as he handed the documents.
"I need you to gather some monster materia."
You raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "What kind of monster?"
He seemed to grin, a glint reflected off his glasses as he pointed to the papers you held. "It's all there, Just hurry. Research needs more materials."
You sighed and nodded. "Alright creepy dude, we will talk final prices when I return. Varying on the monster that varies on the price as well."
He waved his hand as you spoke, "Yes yes I know. Just hurry. I need them in three days time."
Nodding you placed the papers into your satchel you had on hand. With a wave you stood walking towards the door. "Three days...shouldn't be too hard."
He seemed to grin at your laid back attitude. After the doors had shut he laughed, "But you may want to watch out for him"
