He reluctantly took and shook it.
"Good. You've met. (Y/N) how 'bout you help him on his first day."
I nodded.
"So Max, what job did Stan put you in?"
"R-Raking the-the leaves." He stuttered.
"Stutterer, eh? I see." His face suddenly became red. I punched him in the shoulder. "Don't be ashamed, I've got a cousin who's one."
I grabbed his hand to lead him outside. I grabbed two rakes and tossed him one.
He successfully caught it, almost dropping it.
"Th-Thanks..."
About half an hour passed and we hardly said a thing.
"So, you're, like, quiet or something?" I ask.
"N-No... J-J-Just shy..."
"Um, Max, how about you tell me about yourself?"
"You want to hear about me?"
"Beats nothing."
"Well..." he began. "I'm a bit of a baseball player."
"You? Jock? You're so shy, though. Why is that?" I ask.
"I'm only shy infront of pretty girls..."
You stopped in your tracks. Did he just compliment you? Nah, it was probably just a joke. "Ha-ha..." you laugh. "Nice joke."
Dipper
"Hey Dipper, have you noticed the new guy?" My twin sister asked from the window.
"New guy? What new guy?" I ask. Trudging over there, I saw a red haired boy beside (Y/N). Who was he?
"Isn't he cute?" Asked Mabel, gawking at him. "I mean, he's kind of a nerd, but he's a cute one!"
I scowled. Something about him made me mad. Something... I couldn't put my finger on it, though. "Hey, I'll go check on them..." I say, disappearing into the stairs. "Hey, (Y/N)!" I yell, walking toward them.
"Oh, D-Dipper!" She always was a stutterer... She wore a weird and awkward forced smile that stretched from cheek to cheek. It's as if she tried to look like a doll. "What do you need any assistance with?"
"Oh, is this your boyfriend or something?" The redhead asked.
"B-Boyfriend?! D-D-Don't be silly!" She said frantically.
"Hey, (Y/N)." I say. "Who's this?"
"H-Huh? Oh, um, Max. He's just here for the summer."
"Oh, well. Nice to meet you, Max." I say, reluctantly taking his hand to shake.
3rd Person
More often than not, Max needed your help.
One afternoon, he called you to help him manage the cashier, in place of Wendy's absence.
"What? Didn't we do this yesterday? You need my help again?" You sigh.
