We are going to visit my grandma today! I haven't seen her in a while, but she said we need to come and see her A.S.A.P. She even said, and I quote, "I'm surprised she can use a phone."
Grandma❤: "Hey, my George, can you ask your mom if you all can come see me soon? She must still be mad at me."
George: "Sure, Grandma. I'm confident she will say yes if I ask."
Later, George went to ask his mom about visiting his grandma. He thought she might say no, especially after what happened last time. During their last visit, his grandma acted strangely and claimed that the man in the attic told her to do something dangerous. His mom said she would never return after that incident. As he trudged down the stairs, dreading the conversation, he caught the sweet aroma of his mother's baking. He could hardly identify it at first...
CINNAMON ROLLS!
His favorite! He raced down to the kitchen where his mother was standing and grabbed a fresh, steaming cinnamon roll before sitting down.
"Mom..." "Yes, sweetheart?" "Can we go to Grandma's soon? I miss her. I know you don't want to see her, but please, for me..." "Sure." "Wait, what? Are you okay? Normally you would say no!" "Just go get ready," his mom replied. "Okay!" George went up the stairs, a bit confused but excited. He jumped onto his bed and grabbed his phone.
George: "Hey, Grandma! We're on our way in about 15 minutes!"
Grandma❤: "Ok..."
George: "I'm so excited! See you soon! I don't have Wi-Fi, so I'll text you when I get it again. BYE!"
