A voice keeps whispering in his ears
"...are..." Left ear
"...what..." Right ear
"...you..." Left ear
"...seek..." Right ear
"...it..." Left
"...all..." Right
"...will..." Left
"...depend..." Right
"...on..." Left
"...you..." Right
A brief silence fills his ears...
"FULFILL YOUR TEST!!!" The whispering voice, now shouting, belongs to many voices... as if dozens of people are saying the sentence at the same time, yelling to his ears, terrifies him before he jolts back into consciousness.
Opening his eyes and letting out a frightful gasp while sitting up in fear awakens him. He is in a room with a roof, yet very translucent walls, making everything around a blur beyond them. Everybody around looks at him as Spark approaches him.
"Finally awake, I see." Spark says, passing his hand on the boy's forehead for a second
"Yeah..." the boy responds, still weak.
"I guess there are more us, huh?" A girl speaks, who is sitting across the room, which leaves the boy curious as he looks around, seeing more people.
"What is this place?" He asks
"Apparently, our safe haven for now." The girl replies. She has a brown ponytailed hair and purple glinting eyes. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm alright, thanks." He replies, delighted by the concern of the girl. She gives him a friendly smile after the reply.
"I'm Bloom." She says, "That's not my real name, though. It's a nickname they gave me."
"Why bloom?"
"Because her energy blooms like a flower." A buff bald man replies, who is in a light green jacket with tapes around his muscled arms.
"I see... what about you?"
"I'm mountain."
"Let me guess... because you're as tall as one?"
"Tough is the right word, per se." Bloom interferes. "Oh, and those two are Shadow and Violet." She points at two girls, one with dark clothes all over her and another one with a purple cape from her neck to her toes. Both of them are sitting down, minding their businesses. "Don't worry about them, they're just really quiet." She puts her hands on her thighs, glaring at the boy, "So, what's your nickname?"
"hm..." the boy looks at Spark, who shrugs immediately afterwards. "How do I figure it out?"
"Tell us something about you... what have been your thoughts ever since you woke up?"
"..." he remains silent for a few seconds as he thinks. "The only thing I've been thinking about is getting answers... I have no memory of absolutely anything at all."
"Zero." Bloom blooms as if a light bulb just lit over her head. "That could be your nickname."
"Zero?"
"Yeah! You're starting this journey from the zero! You'll build up from here!" She smiles with determination.
Spark nods in approvement. "Zero it is."
"Hey! LET ME GO!" The voice of a woman reaches the point of the room, turning everybody's heads and grabbing their attention. It is a man holding a woman by the hair with ease, in a dominant matter.
