"You're right, I'm sorry" Korra sighed

A storm came on. Thunder took over the silence in the room. A knock at the door caught their attention. Asami got up and opened it finding her daughter holding a stuffed bunny in her arms.

"Hey sweet face, did the storm wake you?" Asami spoke softly as she bent down to her daughter's level earning a nod

"Can I sleep with you, I'm scared" she said earning a nod from her mother. she started walking towards the bed and climbed on.

Once comfortable, Korra gently laid the blanket over the girl. Asami walked over to the window that was covered in rain drops, she closed the curtains before she got in bed with the two of them. Yasuko was in between Korra and Asami, she held onto her mother throughout the night, whereas both Korra and Asami had to continue their conversation tomorrow.

—next morning—

Asami was the first to wake up seeing her daughter and Korra still asleep next to her. She smiled seeing that the little girl was nuzzled against Korra's back.

"Sweet face, it's time to wake up, you have school" Asami spoke softly trying not to wake the other woman

"No" Yasuko mumbled trying to bury herself into Korra's back

"Yasuko, I'm not going to tell you again, get up and go get ready for school" Asami demanded earning a sigh from the child

Yasuko left the room to get ready. Asami was sitting in bed watching the woman sleep. She wanted to talk to her last night but Yasuko sleeping with them didn't allow her to talk to Korra.

Korra turned over getting herself comfortable again. Asami placed her hand on Korra's cheek. Just the thought of someone else's lips on Korra triggered her. She then noticed the ring on her finger was missing. She felt off not wearing it.

But Korra was right, at the end of the day, Korra chose Asami.

But she wanted to see if Korra would fix the problem Asami had an issue with. Meanwhile she got ready for work.

Moments later Yasuko came into the room "I'm ready" she said as Asami was putting on her heels.

"Alright let's go" she said

They left as Korra was still asleep.

After dropping off her daughter, she went straight to work. Still no word from Korra. She didn't even want to reach out either.

She just wanted to get through the day.

A knock at the door caught her attention. She allowed entrance seeing her father walk in.

"Hey sweet pea, you got the rest of the day off"

"What? I just got in" she raised a brow in confusion "and if I go home I'm still going to be doing paperwork"

"Don't worry about the, I got people working on them as we speak"

"How?"

"Let's just say someone wanted to spend time with you and made it happen, so take advantage" Hiroshi said "and Mako's picking up Yasuko after school"

Asami knew this was Korra's doing, probably her trying to be a kiss ass. "I'm not going" she crossed her arms

"No you're going, she waiting for you downstairs, I don't care if you're mad at her" he crossed his arms "now go spend some time with her"

"Dad, you don't get it"

"No Asami, you don't get it" he sounded a bit upset and realized. He sighed "you know, when I was a boy, my mother told me if I were to ever get into an argument with someone I loved, fix it at the moment, because god forbid something happens to them while you're away for work or while you both are asleep together and the last moment you'll have with each other was the both of you being angry at each other... and I took that for granted" he removed his glasses to wipe his tears "what I'd give to go back"

Korra stood outside of the company for what felt like hours. Knowing how Asami was stubborn, she might not leave, especially knowing this was Korra's doing. Korra wanted to give up and get in her car and leave.

Just as she was about to, she noticed the doors opening seeing the woman she was waiting for come out. Her face was a bit saddened but she tried to hide it.

Then something unexpected happened, Asami grabbed Korra pulling her into a hug. Korra could sense something was wrong "hey, everything alright?"

"I'm sorry we went to bed angry" Asami mumbled in Korra's neck

"Hey it's okay, it's not your fault, you had every right to feel the way that you did" Korra said as she pulled away kissing Asami's hands "now come on, I wanna take you somewhere"

———

Korra drove to a cliff above the beach giving a perfect view of the ocean. As they walked towards the cliff, Asami noticed a picnic blanket set on the ground. She turned to look at Korra who was holding a picnic basket. "What's all this for?" Asami asked

"I wanted to spend some time alone with you" Korra said taking Asami's hand and walked towards the spot and taking a seat.

Korra opened the basket taking out two glasses, a bottle of red wine and a charcuterie board. The two talked for a while. Happy to be in each other's company. Asami was actually enjoying herself. Not having to stress about work and being outside feeling the breeze and hearing the sound of the ocean waves. But she also enjoyed being with Korra.

"So, the main reason I wanted to bring you here is because of this" Korra took out her phone placing it in the center

Asami looked up at Korra confused "look, I'm sorry I went through-"

"Let me finish" Korra chuckled then pulled out a newer phone making Asami even more confused "I got a new phone and a new number, I saved only your number, my friends' and numbers for the business I invest in"

"Korra, you didn't have to do all that" Asami said "you could've just deleted and block the numbers"

"I would've done that, but... you know"

"No I don't know" Asami crossed her arms

"It's too many numbers to delete" Korra said nervously

"Well that what I get for falling for a very attractive woman" Asami said

"Hey when we first met, you did say I was a flirt and you should stay away from someone like me" Korra pointed out

"And of course I didn't stay away" Asami rolled her eyes with a smile

"I'm glad you didn't" Korra leaned over for a kiss getting one.

"I love you" Asami stared into Korra blue eyes

"I love you, Sami" Korra smiled before she got up with her old phone in hand. She folded it, breaking it in half then threw it as far as she could into the ocean. She finally got rid of her old self.

"That's littering" Asami said earning a chuckle

"It's the start of a new chapter" Korra said
