Chapter 27

"Melissa... such a nice name" Asami smiled "anywho, I think this is a good spot to end the night" she said seeing everyone was done eating

"Thank you for dinner and for picking up the kids too" Millie said "I owe you one"

"It was no problem" Asami said "let me walk you out" Asami got up leaving Yasuko and Korra at the table

"Maybe we could plan another day for the kids" Millie said as she walked out the door

"I don't think so, they can keep their relationship at school, but I'm not letting you step foot in my house again" Asami crossed her arms

"What?"

"You heard me. You don't think I know what you did last night?"

"Shit... Asami, I'm so sorry, I had too many drinks last night I wasn't thinking straight"

"And you still had the audacity to come into my home, join me and my family for dinner and sit next to my wife" Asami raised a brow seeing the girl was quiet "have a goodnight Melissa" Asami closed the door.

Asami made her way to the two people at the table still "come on Yasuko, you still need to shower and get ready for bed" Asami said and the girl quickly got up taking her mother's hand.

Korra was left alone at the table.

Once Yasuko was put to bed, Asami went to her room finding a fresh towel and her pajamas folded up on the bed. She grabbed the stuff and walked into the bathroom finding an already showered and clothed Korra brushing her teeth.

Asami went straight to the shower. Once she turned on the water she heard the door open and close, she looked over seeing Korra left.

After her shower she changed and got ready for bed, she left the bathroom finding Korra working in her laptop.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Korra asked not looking away from her screen

Asami just scoffed as she laid down in bed going under the covers. Korra turned around looking over at the woman who was lying down.

She closed the laptop and walked over to the bed taking a seat with her back against the bed frame. "Sami?" Korra said but before she could say anything else she noticed her hand reached "you took off the ring?"

"Mhm" she turned over to face away from her

"Are you serious?" Korra questioned "last night you had no problem fucking me, and today you wanna be ignoring me? Why? Because of what I did? You don't think I hate myself for it?"

Asami sat up "I went through your phone" she simply said

"What?"

"You heard me"

"Why did you go through my phone?" Korra questioned

Asami sat up facing the woman "you kept your ringer on, I guess you were to drunk to remember to turn it off, but your phone kept blowing up last night" Asami was pissed "I never noticed how many people text you every night for some attention" she raised a brow

"Asami I can explain"

"No, you can't" Asami said sternly

"If you went through my phone you can see I haven't texted any of them back in years" Korra said "Asami, you know how I feel about you, I got down on one knee for you, thinking that I'd never marry"

"You think I'm mad because they texted you?" Asami looked at Korra in disbelief "yes you did ask me to marry you and yes I did say yes, sure you may have picked me from all the other people you slept with but at the end of the day you still have their number!"
