Chapter 27

"Korra's in the pool with the kids, she had the cooks start dinner" She bowed as she notified Asami.

Asami made her way to the pool hearing kids laughing. She walked in finding Korra in the pool with the kids, all 3 kids had on floaties. She leaned against the door frame as she watched.

"Toss me again!" Max cheered as he paddled to Korra. The woman grabbed the and counted down from 3, once the count down ended she tossed the boy in the air having him land in the water. With the help of his floaties, he swam back up to the surface laughing.

"Me next" Yasuko and Iris said in unison and Korra did as asked

When Yasuko swam back up she noticed her mother in the doorway with a smile on her face "mommy!" She was happy seeing Asami.

"Hey sweet face" Asami smiled walking towards the pool

Korra's attention was focused on Asami. Even though the twins were asking her to toss them, her eyes were fixated on her fiancée who was talking to her daughter.

"Madam Sato" George came in "dinner will be ready in 20"

"Thank you George" Asami said as she looked back at the kids "alright kids, dry yourselves off"

"Aww man" the twins and Yasuko were disappointed

Everyone got out the pool and wrapped themselves in the towels. Korra looked over at Asami who still hasn't made eye contact with her. Korra felt as if Asami was mad at her because of what happened last night with the girl.

After drying themselves off and dressing into fresh clothes, everyone met back at the dinner table as the plates were being served.

Asami sat at the end with Yasuko to her right and Korra to her left. The twins sat on Yasuko's side with Iris being in the center of them. The kids were having their own conversation. But it was quiet between the couple.

"How was work?" Korra asked looking at Asami who wouldn't look at Korra

"Fine" Asami answered simply

Korra could sense something was off. She just continued eating. When she was about to say something again someone clearing their throat caught their eye.

"Millie is here to pick up Max and Iris" George announced as Millie was behind him

"Hey Millie" Asami smiled "did you want to join use for dinner?"

"Oh that would be lovely" The woman smiled taking a seat next to Korra as one of the maids went to serve a plate for Millie

Millie and Asami were having a conversation as they ate. Korra would just glance at Asami trying to read her but it was hard.

So much was going through her head. Asami made it seem like it was fine last night, they had sex and everything, but why is she mad about it now? Was Korra too drunk to completely understand what was going on last night? Or has Asami realized how pissed she should be about the situation?

"So, Max is named after my grandfather and Iris is named after her father's mother" Millie explained after learning Yasuko was named after Asami's mother "We were going to name Iris Lilly, so it can sound like my nickname but we liked Iris more"

"Millie is your nickname?" Asami questioned

"Yeah, my grandfather would call me Millie and it stuck" she smiled "but my name is actually Melissa"

With that name being said Asami looked at Korra whose head was down. With her eyes only, she looked at Asami already knowing what was going through her head.
