Chapter 25

"Yes sweet face?"

"Is Korra gonna be my new daddy?"

Asami chuckled at the comment "no, you have a dad, and where is this coming from?"

"I saw you and Korra kissing" she giggled covering her mouth

"Yasuko!" Asami was surprised

"You kissed Korra" Yasuko kept giggling

"Ok ok, yes I kissed Korra, but that doesn't make her your new dad or mom, she's just mommy's girlfriend, okay?"

"Okay!" Yasuko giggled

"Wait so if she agrees to move in with you, you'll propose to her?!" Bolin was excited "What will Yasuko think of all this?"

"I don't know, Asami's suppose to talk to her about moving in and me being part of their lives, and I know that if Yasuko says no, it's no" Korra shrugged

"Everything will fall into place" Jinora said "plus, Asami raised Yasuko to have an open mind, she's a sweetheart and loves fast, so trust me when I say, Yasuko would be more than happy to have you apart of her life" she smiled "I just hope that this is what you want"

"What do you mean?" Korra questioned

"Korra, Asami has a kid now, that's where her priority is" Jinora said "you're not just getting into a relationship with Asami, you have to think of Yasuko too, and i know you're not her mother and she has a father, but you're gonna be Asami's partner, that means helping her with her responsibilities too"

"And that's something you need to figure out if you want that or not, because if you're way too far into this relationship and you decide to leave, it won't just be Asami heartbroken but Yasuko too, she gets attached quick" Kai added

"You're right" Korra thought about it.

After visiting her friend, and attending the meetings she had, Korra was on her way home till she got a call from Asami

"Hey babe, how's work?" Korra asked knowing Asami only had 2 hours left

"I'm fucking bored and tired and I miss you" She sighed

"I miss you" Korra smiled "are you going to pick up Yasuko from your father's after work?"

"No, he texted me saying she's out like a light so I'm just going to have her spend the night, it's Friday anyway so she doesn't have school tomorrow" Asami said "how was your meetings?"

"It was good, people were surprised when they met me, I guess they thought I was older or a man" Korra chuckled "so, did you talk to Yasuko?"

"I did. She agreed as long as I kept the estate and give it to her when she's old enough" Asami said earning a chuckle "she also knows about us, she saw us kiss this morning"

"Is she okay with it?"

"Yeah, she's actually excited about it, she likes you a lot" Asami said

"That's great" Korra smiled "also, I got a surprise for you, come to my place after work, just let me know when you're here"

"Korra, what did you do?"

"That's for you to find out later"

Asami got to Korra's place, finding the woman outside waiting for her. She saw a smile come onto her face making Asami smile herself.

Asami parked in the driveway and noticed Korra coming to the door to open it for her. "Hey beautiful" Korra said giving Asami her hand to help her out the car.

"Hi gorgeous" Asami gave Korra a kiss once she was out the car then looked over Korra's outfit. She was wearing a maroon button up that was tucked into black dress pants and put together with a belt. "Why are you dress so nice for?" She asked

Korra smiled "come on" she said taking Asami's hand guiding her inside the house.

Asami walked in finding the main lights were off but the place was lightly lit because there were candles everywhere. On the dining table, there was a bouquet of different flowers in a vase.

"Korra what is this?" Asami asked as Korra had her take a seat at the table and took her bag putting it to the side

"I wanted to have a little at home date night, so I planned a candlelit dinner" Korra said giving a kiss to the woman and walking away to the kitchen to serve them plates.

"You cooked?" Asami noticed the woman placing the plate in front of her

"I did" Korra smiled

The two enjoyed their meal as they talked about future plans.

"I'm actually excited about moving in with you" Asami confessed

"I'm excited too, the only person I lived with was Bolin" Korra chuckled

"Well, the only place I ever lived in was the estate" Asami said

"Are you sure Yasuko's going to be ok with this change?" Korra questioned

"Yeah, she's kinda excited too" Asami smiled "which reminds me, when do you plan on having us move in?"

"Right, give me one second" Korra said getting up leaving the table then came back to the table showing Asami the sketches and estimates on the remodeling of the house. "Here some ideas that came to mind for the house and these are the pricing and time it'll take to get it done, but of course if you have any ideas we can sit down and talk about it, I just wanted to get a head start, you know" Korra said and saw how the girl looked over everything "and while that's happening I can stay with you for the time being till the place is ready for us"

"Korra, this looks nice and all but, we can't afford to do all this" Asami said looking at Korra

"I have the money Asami" Korra said

Asami sighed and looked back at the sketches "Ok but... moving in together is one thing but building our own home is another...Korra, we're not even marrie-" her words were cut off when she looked at Korra

There she was, the woman of her dreams down on one knee with a small box that held a ring. "Asami, you're my person, the only one that I could picture my future with, and I promise to keep loving you unconditionally, I want nothing more than to build a home with you, so, will you do me the honor, and marry me?"
