Chapter 24

"Really, maybe when we get home you can show me all your drawings" Asami said opening the car door for Yasuko helping her onto her car seat

"No work?" Yasuko questioned as her mother buckled her in

"No work for mommy today" Asami smiled

"Yay!" Yasuko cheered. Normally after school, Asami would pick her up and take her to Makos if he didn't work or Hiroshi. But today she called off since Hiroshi wanted to be at the company to make sure Asami's doing a good job on her own.

"You're Yasuko's mother? Right?" A woman walked up to her with a boy holding her hand around Yasuko's age

"Yes" Asami was confused

The woman put her hand out "I'm Millie"

"Asami" she shook her hand

"This is my son Max and my daughter Iris" she gestured to twins "they're actually friends with Yasuko, and they were hoping if we could arrange something outside of school for the 3" Millie said

"Oh um, that sounds great" Asami said and they exchanged numbers.

"I'm free Sunday, does that work for you?" Millie asked

"Sunday works great actually" Asami smiled

They said their byes and Asami was on her way home. As she waited at a red light, she noticed a familiar car parked outside a driveway of a nice looking house, she read the license plate realizing it was Korra's car. But Bolin had Korra's car, maybe a friend he's visiting or Opal's family.

She made it home as she has her cooks start dinner. Asami sat on the couch with Yasuko. The daughter was showing her mother all her drawings.

"And that princess Sami being kidnapped by the bear king and that's Korra saving the princess" she pointed at the picture

Asami noticed how the knight's sword had blood on it from killing the bear "woah, it's so.. detailed" Asami smiled "I'm guessing uncle Bolin taught you those certain details?" Details meaning the blood since know of her books or shows show blood.

"Yup!" Yasuko smiled

Asami's phone rang seeing the caller ID "speaking of your uncle" Asami said answering the phone "hey Bo, what's up?"

"Hey Asami, is it alright if me and Opal come and visit, we kinda wanna give out niece a gift" Bolin said shyly "and I know it's your off day, we promise we won't stay for long"

Asami chuckled "oh please, you can stay how ever long you like, I have the cooks preparing dinner if you'd like to stay"

"Dinner sounds good, we'll be their in 15" he hung up

At the dinner table, Asami and Opal were talking while Bolin giving Yasuko sips of soda behind Asami's back

"So what you two do today?" Asami asked.

"Nothing, just chilled at the house" Opal shrugged

Asami raised a brow "that's it?" Questioned

"Yeah, we went straight home after Kai's get together" Bolin said seeing the girl confused "why?"
