Kai looked around. He was outside. He inhaled the crisp, night air. It felt good. He opened his mouth, revealing his fangs. They had a silvery tinge to them. They glimmered in the moonlight. Kai smiled, his fangs glimmering. Kai was on the hunt for blood. If he didn't drink blood every once in a while, he would die. He didn't want to die so he would try to do it when he needed to. The breeze wrapped around him. His fangs itched for blood. He looked around. He saw a wolf. Perfect. Kai lunged and killed the wolf before it could even sense Kai's heartbeat. Kai plunged his fangs deep into the wolf's veins. He smiled. It tasted good. Once he'd sucked enough to live, he went back inside, licking his fangs.
He passed by Zane's room and looked inside. Zane was asleep and his baby was sleeping in the crib. Kai sighed and thought back to the days where his sister was a baby. He longed for those days. He'd started having to suck blood at two years old. He sighed and went back to his room.
