My wings...they are bound by the serpent that had plucked me from the skies. Bound by one so envious of my gift that they vowed to take it from me. My eyes meet his and all I see is a mocking glare hiding the venom that lies beneath the surface. My time in the skies had been ended by one who was never graced with the pleasure of flying. How ironic to know that the very thing that made me free was the cause of my downfall.
