Fake Girlfriend (Lauren/You)

Chapter One

Lauren's POV

"But Camz do you know how humiliating it will be to show up BY MYSELF while she is with her new girlfriend."

"Lauren, she's just trying to make you jealous. It's obvious she's still not over you." I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Just don't stress over it, tonight you and I along with the girls are going out tonight to have a good time okay? Be ready by 7!" Before I could protest about the news of me actually going out tonight she was gone. I looked at the clock and it was 5:30.

"What to wear, what to wear?" I asked myself plugging in my phone to the speakers to listen to my music.

What seemed like forever but was really 45 minutes I decided on my plaid mini skirt and a black top along with my doc martins. I straightened my hair and applied light make up. Looking in the mirror I decided i looked good enough. I didn't wanna dress up too much and we just be going to the movies or too down in case we were going to a club. Man I really should've asked more questions. I checked the clock and it was 6:45, they would be here any minute now.

In the middle of an episode of Orange is the new black Camila texted me saying she was here.

"RALPHHH!" I laughed as I was caught in a Dinah Jane hug as soon as I got in the car. "You look hot girl!" Camila soon said after our hug.

"Thanks! Yall don't look half bad yourselves!" I said winking at two of my best friends. They laughed and we got on another topic.

"Where's Ally and Mani?" I asked missing their presence.

"They are meeting us at the movies!" Camila said excitedly. I nodded in understanding and gazed out the window as Dinah and Camz got into another pointless conversation about who knows what.

As we drove past the park I noticed a young couple with their toddler. The little boy was walking in front of the hand in hand couple as he was pointing out various objects around them. I desired that perfect life. The happy couple with the happy child. It all seemed perfect, not that I wanted perfect. I just wanted happiness, but lately that seems like it's becoming harder and harder to find.

"Lauren!" I jumped at the loud noise and found the two girls staring at me.

"What?"

"We've been here for five minutes, where exactly have you been?" Dinah asked watching me intently.

"Just in my own world," I simply said shrugging and giving them a small smile. They took what they could get and we piled out of the car to find our other friends.

Once we found them someone screamed and we were all in one large group hug in the middle of the cinema. It all happened so quickly, but it felt great for everyone to be here together.

"Oh my gosh I have missed every single one of you!" Ally said going back and giving us all individual hugs. That's Ally for you.

"What movie are we watching?" I asked stealing another piece of popcorn from Camila after getting a table to sit. She glared at me as I did it but I just smirked.

"I was thinking either Jurassic World or Minions," Normani said shrugging.

"I vote Jurassic World," Dinah said raising her hand. We all quickly agreed to that. We had a little bit before the movie actually started so we took this opportunity to catch up a little bit. After all it's been about a month since all of us have been together, I mean we've texted and stuff but it's really not the same.

"How's Maia?" Mani asked me, completely unaware of what happened.

"Umm we actually broke up a few weeks ago," cue awkward laugh. Normani's eyes widened.
