But when Meera explained further-"Woh mujhe chhu raha tha... mujhe acha nahi laga!"-the atmosphere shifted dramatically as shock registered on everyone's faces.

Her cousin vehemently denied any wrongdoing while his mother angrily defended him against Meera's accusations: "Arey Archana! Ye kaise sanskar diya tumne apni beti ko? Itna bada ilzaam kaise laga sakti ho mere bete par?"

Meera felt utterly helpless as they dismissed her fears without a second thought. Her cousin continued insisting that she was lying while his mother questioned how they could believe such an accusation against him.

"Meera... kya ye sach hai?" Her father finally asked gently but firmly.

She nodded through tears as fear gripped her heart once more.

Her mother grabbed Meera's arm tightly and dragged her into another room while locking it behind them. "Ye kya bakwas kar rahi ho tum? Koi apne bhai ke baare mein aisa bolta hai?" she demanded angrily while Meera cried in pain from how tightly she was being held.

"Mummy... maine jhoot nahi bola! Sach mein bhai ne..." Before she could finish speaking, her mother slapped her hard across the face and said coldly: "Chup bilkul chup! Ek awaaz nahi aani chahiye tumhare muh se!"

Meera cried uncontrollably as guilt and shame consumed her entirely while being locked in that room for the rest of the day.

Now back in reality, Meera sat frozen on the floor of her room as tears streamed down once again. Us din bhi kisi ne mera vishwas nahi kiya tha; aaj bhi nahi kiya.

She thought bitterly about how everyone always misunderstood or blamed her for things beyond control: Sab pehle bhi mujhe bura samjhte the... par mujhe bataye na Bhagwan meri galti kya hai? Kyun mere saath ye sab ho raha hai?

Unable to control the disgusted feeling rising within her, Meera grabbed her hair tightly and cried out in anguish. The events of the morning replayed in her mind, each word from her mother cutting deeper than the last. Just as she felt herself spiraling further into despair, her phone vibrated beside her on the floor.

With a shaky breath, she glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from Shivansh. A wave of panic washed over her as she hesitated, unsure if she could handle speaking to anyone right now. But before she could decide, she threw her phone away in frustration, not realizing that in doing so, she had accidentally pressed the answer button.

"Meera?" Shivansh's voice came through the speaker, clear and concerned.

As she continued to cry, Meera didn't register that he was on the line. Instead, her thoughts spilled out uncontrollably, a torrent of emotions pouring forth. "Kyu Bhagwan... please mujhe bataiye kyu meri mummy mujhse pyar nahi kar pa rahi hain? Kyu hamesha mujhe misjudge kiya jata hai?" Her voice trembled with hurt.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself but only finding more pain. "Pata hai mujhe kitna disgusted feel hua tha us din jab bhaiya ne mujhe chhua tha... tab main chahti thi ki wo mujhe support kare... mera vishwas kare... par unhone mujhe hi galat thehra diya."

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued to pour out her heart. "Aur aaj... Shivansh ji ke saath vacation jaane pe mummy ne kaha ki main unke saath soyi toh nahi..." Her voice cracked under the weight of her emotions.

"Please Bhagwan... mujhe yahan aur nahi rehna hai! Main ye sab roz roz nahi dekh sakti..." She sobbed, feeling utterly lost and alone.

On the other end of the call, Shivansh listened in silence, his heart aching for Meera as he heard her raw vulnerability. He hadn't intended to overhear her pain, but now he felt an overwhelming urge to reach out and comfort her.

Meera curled up on the floor, feeling small and defeated. The weight of her mother's words echoed in her mind-words that made her feel worthless and unloved. She wished desperately for someone to believe her, to understand what she had gone through.

As she sat there crying, a flicker of hope ignited within her-a reminder that perhaps Shivansh could be that person who would listen and support her. But for now, all she could do was let the tears flow freely, hoping that someday things would change.

~End~
