As Shivansh stepped into his home, he was greeted by the familiar warmth of his family. The comforting aroma of dinner wafted through the air, and he felt a wave of relief wash over him after the whirlwind of emotions from the vacation.
"Welcome back!" his mother exclaimed, pulling him into a warm embrace. "How was your trip?"
"It was great, Mom," he replied, smiling at her enthusiasm. "We had a lot of fun at the resort."
His father joined them at the dining table, where they all settled in for dinner. As they shared stories about their days, Shivansh recounted the highlights of his vacation-boating with friends, exploring local markets, and the moments he spent with Meera that had deepened their bond.
"Sounds like you had a memorable time," his father said, nodding approvingly. "It's good to see you enjoying life."
Shivansh felt a sense of comfort in their cheerful atmosphere. He appreciated these moments with his family, where laughter and warmth filled the room. Yet, beneath it all, his thoughts kept drifting back to Meera-the way she had opened up to him during their trip, sharing her fears and insecurities.
After dinner, feeling content yet reflective, Shivansh excused himself and made his way to his room. "Good night!" he called out to his parents as he walked away.
Once inside, he lay down on his bed, staring at the ceiling as thoughts of Meera flooded his mind. He remembered how sad she had been on that earlier day when they spoke by the lake-how she had bravely shared her struggles and fears with him. He recalled how her eyes lit up when she admired her gifts and how she reacted so genuinely to the flowers he had given her.
Then there was that moment when she asked him not to share her secrets with anyone. Her vulnerability tugged at his heartstrings; he wanted to protect her from all the pain she felt.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. He reached for his phone and quickly typed a message to Meera:
"Thank you for coming with me on this vacation. Tumhare saath 5 din bitake mujhe acha laga. I hope tumhe bhi laga ho. Jald hi milte hain. Good night 🙂"
After hitting send, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. It was a small gesture, but it felt important-like a thread connecting them even while apart.
With that thought lingering in his mind, Shivansh closed his eyes and allowed himself to drift into sleep, hopeful for what lay ahead for both him and Meera.
The scene begins with Meera waking up to the faint morning light streaming through her window. She sat on her bed for a moment, gathering herself after the previous day's events. After freshening up, she made her way downstairs to the kitchen, hoping to help her mother with breakfast.
As she entered, she noticed her mother working silently, her demeanor cold and distant. Meera hesitated but stepped closer to offer her assistance. However, her mother completely ignored her presence, as though she wasn't even there. The air between them was heavy with unspoken tension.
Moments later, Aditi entered the kitchen, cheerful as always. She hugged Meera tightly from behind and chirped, "Good morning, didi!" Meera smiled faintly at her sister's warmth and noticed that Aditi was already dressed in her school uniform.
"Aditi, jao table par jaake baitho. Main breakfast leke aati hoon," their mother said curtly, handing two plates of aloo paratha served with achar and dahi.
Meera watched as her mother carried the plates to the dining table and served them to Aditi and their father. Feeling compelled to help, Meera followed them into the dining area and sat down across from her father.
