Logan, despite his teasing, could see it. He sat up, his grin softening. "You wanna know something?"

Oscar glanced over. "What?"

"Lando's probably doing the exact same thing right now."

Oscar blinked.

And somehow, that thought alone made the knot in his chest loosen just a little.

As the final preparations were happening, their families had started arriving at the venue—an elegant lakeside estate that had been transformed into something out of a dream. White flowers lined the aisle, soft string lights were strung through the trees, and the water reflected the golden hues of the setting sun.

Cisca Norris had spent the past hour fussing over last-minute details, ensuring everything was perfect for her son. Adam Norris stood beside her, hands in his pockets, his expression unreadable but proud.

"I think he might actually cry," Oliver said, grinning as he stood next to Flo and their younger sister, Cisca.

"Oh, definitely," Flo agreed. "He acts all cool, but you know he's gonna lose it when he sees Oscar."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the venue, Chris and Nicole Piastri were standing with their daughters, Edie, Hattie, and Mae, watching as the guests started arriving.

"Think he's nervous?" Edie asked.

Nicole smiled, glancing at her son. "I think he's more excited than anything."

Chris chuckled. "Well, as long as he doesn't faint at the altar."

Mae, the youngest, grinned. "That would be so funny."

Hattie nudged her. "Not for him!"

Their laughter mixed with the soft hum of music floating through the air.

Both families were different in many ways—different backgrounds, different personalities, different lives. But tonight, they were about to become one.

And that was the only thing that mattered.

The minutes before the ceremony felt like both an eternity and a blink. Time stretched and compressed in a way that made Lando feel both completely present and completely overwhelmed.

His heart wasn't racing with nerves—not the kind he felt before a race, when the anticipation of strategy and risk made his hands twitch. This was different. This was steady, certain, full.

Somewhere in the background, the final preparations were being made. Guests were settling into their seats, the soft hum of conversation weaving through the air. But before Lando and Oscar could step onto that aisle, there were still moments to be had—moments with the people who had shaped them, who had been there through every high and low, who would stand beside them now as they stepped into something new.

Lando stood in a private lounge, adjusting his tie in the mirror for what felt like the hundredth time. The knot was already perfect, but his fingers kept fussing, as if giving them something to do would settle the emotions swirling inside him.

A soft knock at the door made him turn.

Cisca stepped in first, eyes immediately scanning him from head to toe, as if committing every detail to memory. "You look perfect," she said, voice thick with emotion.

Lando huffed out a laugh. "You have to say that. You're my mum."

Adam followed behind her, a small smile playing at his lips. "No, she's right. You do."
