[Scene opens with warm yellow lights casting a cozy glow on stage. The banner "Why She Kills Cast Exclusive — The Interview Series" shines behind. There's a comfy couch and a chair set up, with glasses of water on a little round table. The audience buzzes with excitement. The Author sits casually, smirking as Tenuk walks in, adjusting his sleeves, clearly nervous but smiling.]
Author: (grinning wide, leaning back dramatically) Alright, alright, look who's here! Our precious Tenuk, everyone!
[Audience cheers and claps. Tenuk waves awkwardly, sitting down, already looking a little fidgety.]
Author: (elbow on the chair arm, head in hand, smirking playfully) So, ready to spill some tea? Or... should I say, ready to survive my questions?
Tenuk: (laughing softly, blushing a bit) U-uh... I-I'll try my best.
Author: (grinning, rubbing hands together) That's the spirit! Let’s go, question one!
Question 1: "You were so worried that you couldn't even move. If I were there, I would have instantly run away from the murder scene."
Tenuk: (taking a deep breath, looking down, fidgeting with sleeve) Y-yeah, well, it’s not easy, you know? When you see a murder like that, you don't really know what to do. Your body just... stops. You think you’ll run or scream but, nothing happens. Everything’s frozen. I was just scared, really scared. And like, I guess everyone reacts differently. Iyaan was so calm... I was just the opposite. I couldn’t even think straight.
Author: (nodding, smiling softly) Hey, that’s fair. It’s real. And trust me, I think a lot of us would freeze too.
[Audience hums in agreement, some nodding.]
Question 2: "Your nightmares were really something. What do you think about them?"
[Tenuk’s expression grows serious, hands clasping together now.]
Tenuk: (voice quieter, serious) Yeah, those nightmares were... terrible. Seeing Ayesha and Malaka dead like that... I couldn't stop thinking maybe if I had been there sooner... maybe if I took that shift, I could've helped. I think that's why they were always in my dreams—asking for help. And then there were dreams where Iyaan-
[Tenuk pauses, swallowing hard.]
Tenuk: (softer, looking away a little) I kept seeing Iyaan hurt in my dreams, and that was the worst part. I couldn’t take that.
[Audience falls quiet, a somber moment.]
Author: (gently) You’ve been through a lot, Tenuk. That’s tough... but you're here, and that says something.
Question 3: "You suspected Nur a lot. Why?"
[Tenuk straightens, a nervous laugh escaping as if the memory of Nur still makes him shiver.]
Tenuk: (quickly) She’s—she’s weird! Like, really weird.
[Audience laughs lightly.]
Tenuk: (rambling now, hands waving a bit) She just... talks to patients in a way that’s so strange. Like she’s trying to mess with them instead of help them. And, I don’t know, she always gives me this... scary vibe. Like she’s watching you with some secret plan in her head.
Author: (grinning, eyebrow raised) So moral of the story — if someone looks like they're plotting your death, maybe trust that gut feeling, huh?
Tenuk: (laughing nervously) Yeah, definitely.
Question 4: "What do you think of your mother, Hawani?"
[Tenuk relaxes a little, smiling softly.]
Tenuk: (warmly) She’s great. I know she seems strict, but she cares a lot. She’s always there for me, even if she doesn’t say it directly. And she loves Iyaan too, never once questioned us living together. I’m really grateful for her.
Author: (smiling genuinely) Sounds like she’s got a heart of gold under that tough shell.
Tenuk: (nodding) Yeah, she does.
Author: (grinning wide now, leaning in like a cat ready to pounce) And now... the question we’ve all been waiting for.
[Audience laughs and leans forward in anticipation.]
Question 5: "What do you think of Iyaan?"
[Tenuk freezes a bit, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. He starts fidgeting more, cheeks going bright red.]
Tenuk: (stammering hard) I-Iyaan... he’s... uh... h-he’s a great p-person. Like, really kind, and uh, he always looks after me. Uh... I-I like being with him. A lot.
[Audience: "Awwww!" — some giggles and claps.]
Author: (grinning devilishly, leaning forward, teasing) Ohhhh? Look at you! Blushing! Stuttering! All for Iyaan, huh?
[Audience laughs harder. Tenuk hides his face in his hands for a second, laughing nervously.]
Tenuk: (trying to recover, still red) I-it's true though... I-I care about him a lot. I just hope he knows that.
Author: (teasing, but kind) I think everyone knows that now, Tenuk.
[Audience cheers softly, supportive.]
Author: (standing up with a playful clap) And that’s a wrap for our adorable, brave Tenuk! Thank you for being so honest with us.
[Audience claps loud and cheerfully as Tenuk waves shyly, still red but smiling.]
Author: (turning to the camera, grinning) And guess what, folks? You won’t want to miss our next guest — the mysterious and sharp Officer Johan is joining us next! What secrets will he spill? Stay tuned!
[Stage lights fade as gentle outro music plays, audience still buzzing with excitement.]
