"O - Ow, Mami!" I gasped and opened my eyes in shock. I rubbed me eyes and tried to move my leg, but it was caught between two hard things that I could not see what was. I tried to sit up but bumped my head into something and laid down again. My head was pounding and I tried to look around while I was still confused. I could barely move around, but could quickly conclude that I could not see anything. Only darkness..

Suddenly I recognized the familiar wooden floor that I was laying on. It was difficult, but at last I got turned around and was now laying on my stomach looking into a bright light.

I looked out from under my parents bed and could only see the door that led to their bathroom. I looked down at the floor in front of the bathroom door and my body froze. Could it be that my dream wasn't a dream after all..? It actually happened? I covered my mouth with the back of my hand and hot tears began to stream down my cheeks. On this exact spot I had seen a man holding my mother in her neck, forcing her to the floor. She had cried and screamed while my gaze met hers from my hiding under the bed.

I quickly crawled back under the bed again with my heart pounding as a wild running horse. I laid still and was listening for a moment before my thoughts began again.

I remember that I was laying in my bed and couldn't fall asleep. I kept hearing weird voices and sounds from outside the house and got scared each time I heard a new sound. Even if it was just a branch or the springs in my mattress I would curl up and hide under my blanket. My parents told me that I should just go sleep and that there was nothing to be afraid of but I knew that they were frightened too. I could sense it.. Suddenly I heard a loud cracking noise. I got out of my bed and walked over the cold floor in my bedroom, tiptoed down the hall and into my parents' bedroom. Just as I got to their room, 5 men, all dressed in black and brown, ran into our house. They had probably tried to get in through the door, but when that didn't work they destroyed the lock. I quickly looked over my shoulder and saw that one of them was on hes way down to my parents bedroom while the other men was going to the living room where my parents where. I ran to my parents bed, threw myself on the floor and started to crawl in under their bed. I pushed boxes and old things aside to get in, and although it should have been hurting all the times I tore myself on the tree and knocked into the boxes, I couldn't feel anything. I was terrified and was completely in panic. Then I could hear the footsteps of someone entering the room. I froze. I was lucky and was exactly crawled far enough in under the bed, so that the man who had come down here couldn't see me. I laid gasping for breath when I heard a loud bang coming from the living room and I had to hold back a scream.. Then I started crying and I guess I passed out..

Now I was laying here. Shivering and cold. Under my parents bed.. But I couldn't stay here. The only place where I should feel a hundred percent safe, was now the most scary place that I could imagine. I should leave.. Get to the nearest police station, but I was scared. How could I know if there wasn't any of those men in the house anymore? I couldn't know. The only thing I knew was that I had to get away.

I kept listening as I slowly crawled out from under the bed. I kept crawling until I was halfway out, but then my left foot got stuck. I looked back at it and noticed some kind of a string that it had been entangled in. I tried to get it off my foot but I couldn't cause my hands couldn't reach down there to pull it off. Instead I just crawled out from under the bed and let the string stay on. Then I reached down, untangled string and noticed that it wasn't just a string, it was..

"A bag strap..?"
