Chapter 19 A Question

Start from the beginning

Her heart stopped.

"I—what?"

Before she could fully process the words, Daniela let out an ear-piercing squeal, launching herself into Ally's side—completely undeterred by the fact that Alcina was still very much holding her. "Momma!"

"Finally!" Cassandra grinned, clapping Ally on the back a little too hard. "Took you long enough."

Ally's brain short-circuited.

She stared, mouth opening, then closing, then opening again—her heart swelling too fast, too full, the sheer weight of it all pressing against her ribs.

Momma.

They were calling her their Momma.

Her throat tightened.

Alcina let out an amused hum, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to the top of Ally's head. "Speechless, iubirea mea?"

Ally swallowed hard, her vision blurring slightly as she looked at them—their bright, expectant faces, their undeniable excitement.

They meant it.

Her girls.

Her daughters.

The words left her in a breathless whisper, a soft, overwhelmed laugh catching at the end. "It would be an honor to be your Momma."

Daniela gasped, practically vibrating with excitement. "Oh, this is the best day ever!"

"I can't wait to tell everyone!"

"Daniela," Bela sighed, rubbing her temple. "Everyone already knows. We have ears, remember?"

"I know, but now it's official!" Daniela giggled, practically bouncing. "We have to celebrate!"

Alcina hummed, tilting her head down to meet Ally's gaze, her golden eyes soft in a way they rarely were. "I would trust no one else with my girls, Alexandra," she murmured, her thumb brushing over Ally's cheek. "You were meant to be theirs."

Ally melted, her chest aching with a love so deep, so unshakable, she didn't know what to do with it

"Absolutely," Cassandra nodded, crossing her arms. "You're officially ours now, Ally. No take-backs."

Ally finally managed to find her voice. "I... I didn't know you guys would be this excited."

"Are you kidding?" Daniela grinned, eyes shining. "We love you!"

Ally felt her heart swell.

She had known—of course, she had known—that the girls had grown fond of her, but to hear it, to see the unfiltered excitement in their eyes?

It was overwhelming.

It was everything.

Bela stepped forward, her smirk softening into something genuine. "Welcome to the family, Ally."

Ally felt herself tear up, a lump forming in her throat as she reached out, pulling Bela into a hug.

Bela huffed, but didn't resist, her arms squeezing just tight enough to show how much it meant.

Cassandra and Daniela immediately piled on, making a mess of the moment by half tackling Ally between them.

"Alright, alright," Alcina sighed, amusement thick in her tone. "Give her some space, girls."

Daniela grinned, pulling back just enough to wipe her eyes. "Okay, but we have to celebrate!"

"No," Alcina interjected, her hold on Ally tightening. "We are retiring for the evening."
