Chapter 26: The inconvenience

HIRAETH'S POV

"We should head to bed now, it is quite late" I said to George and he nodded, "so maybe you could sleep in my...", "not a chance Pg, not a chance" I said to him, "no I didn't mean it like that, I merely wanted us to just sit with each other genuinely." He said and I looked at him thinking hard, "I wish George but...is it allowed?" I asked him, "well...you'd be out before anyone realised it, plus you've never been in my room before" I said still looking at me, "...okay" I said to him.

"I have never been in your room, have I?" I asked him as we walked hand in hand in the hallway heading to his room, "no you haven't and I hope you like it" he said smiling down at me, "if its anything like Charlottes, I'd be impressed honestly" I said to him making him chuckle, "HIRAETH..." I heard my name and I turned around to hear Roxy whisper yelling and running down the hall, "woah, what is it?" I asked her and she was heavy breathing as she reached us.

"Charlotte has something for you to see in the bedroom come on..." She said rushing me and pulling my arm, "But.." I said and she protested, "no time, you'll see the Prince tomorrow morning" she said still rushing me, "okay, tomorrow?" I said to him, "tomorrow" he said and planted a kiss on my lips softly, "awww, well aren't you the cutest people ever" Roxy said completely forgetting Charlotte needed us, "Roxy...?" I said to her, "yeah? Oh right let's go, bye Pg" she said and we stormed off.

"She's here princess" Roxy said closing the door behind her, "Hiraeth are you okay?" Charlotte said to me while hugging me and I was kind of shocked at first, I mean princess Charlotte hugging me but...why?, "I'm fine, why is everything not okay?" I asked and she smacked my arm, "OW! Lottie what was that for?!" I asked her while rubbing my arm, "are you crazy?!" She said to me and I was beyond confused.

"Hiraeth...have a sit" Lucy said, and I sat down on the vanity chair and looked at the girls surrounding me, "Hiraeth what Charlotte was trying to say was that, you can't be in the same room as George's...at night" Grace said and I looked at her still confused, "its protocol and its not safe, people come into my brothers room at night while he's asleep to prepare the room of the future monarchy, he doesn't realize because he's well...asleep it happens with all of us"

"...so if I was caught in his room...what would have happened?" I asked her carefully yet scared at the answer, "it would be considered an act of treason to the king for avoiding a palace rule and an attempted murder to the future king basically" Charlotte said, "most monarchs and higher titled people usually sleep in separate rooms" Grace said after adjusting her glasses.

"Oh...I didn't know guys, really, I'm so sorry, I'll be more careful next time" I said looking at them and getting up from the seat, "no don't be sorry, what I wanted to tell you was that, only partners of the monarchs are allowed to sleep in the same room, but seeing as how its not really official to the palace that you two are a thing, not until tomorrow of course, you need to sleep here, but tomorrow... He's all yours" Charlotte said and I smoked to myself.
