Gyeong looked at him thoughtfully for a moment. "Or you need to believe that anything is possible and Jungkook isn't time pass for Jimin oppa."

"It's really hard to believe...I mean—"

"Finish that sentence and this deal is off," she hissed at him. "You don't know a thing about my best friend, buddy. Do not judge a book by its cover. You better choose a side before you pick your pen. Because your actions will have consequences, Reporter-nim."

Those were certainly not the words he was expecting from a student. There was a warning and it felt as if she firmly believed she could make it come to fruition. His brain easily picked up the nuances he overlooked.

"Why does it feel like you're here not just for the money?" Jusang questioned. "Why do I feel like you're the one recruiting me and not the other way around?"

Gyeong smirked. "Wire me the rest of the money and I'll text you."

Jusang was overcome with relief but also excitement.

"But put my friend in danger, I'll personally slap the daylights out of you," she warned. "And if you ever use any derogatory terms to define my friend in your article, I'll chop the hand that wrote that article."

Jusang grinned. "I won't, I promise. You're so fiercely loyal. I still can't believe you agreed to help when everyone else refused."

Gyeong shrugged. "Because everyone has their needs."

Jusang nodded. "I promise to write a respectful exclusive if I get this story."

Gyeong nodded and turned to leave but she paused and slowly turned to face him. "I have one request."

"What is it?"

"Jungkook hasn't been this happy in all his life. I won't let you ruin that for him. They're deeply and madly in love. Their love will overcome every odd. You said you're only doing this because your job is on the line. So do your job right. You're a regular wolf too. So I request that you don't set him up for slaughter. I've read your previous articles before I came here. I see that you're different from the others. Do the right thing with my friend."

Jusang nodded curtly. "I will."

Gyeong took a deep breath before hurrying out of the cafe. Jusang stared at her through the glass window. She ran to the bus stop nearby and got on a bus just in time.

Jusang pulled out his phone to text his boss with a sigh. Finally, if he played his card right, then he had a story. Just then he spotted the familiar black SUV tailing the bus she boarded and slowly but surely like puzzle pieces things clicked into place.

I've read your previous articles before I came here. I see that you're different from the others. Do the right thing with my friend.

Jusang ran a hand over his face. I definitely caught someone's attention.
