Intro to the Nerdom

I'm only a nerd...
Why would someone go out with a nerd? I hate that everyone except me believes in love. They say love is a beautiful thing but to me it's a waste of time. Who would believe that a girl like me could get a guy anyway. My name is Alex short for Alexandria. I am a nerd. My mother says so my dad fights for me but he knows my mom is right. I just started high school and guess what it sucks. My best friend Kaleb started ignoring me because he got a girlfriend so I'm on my own. I hate school because everyone harasses me about everything. So welcome to my nerdom.
----first day of Highschool----
I wake up late on my first day of high school just great. As I rush to get changed I stop in front of the mirror and notice that on my mirror it says : HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
"Oh no not today.!" Today is my birthday and first day of school and my mom didn't wake me up. I finish getting dressed and brush my hair and teeth. I didn't do my makeup which I realize when I get to school. My locker was next to the cutest guy in school and my ex-best friend. Kaleb was digging into his locker and I ran up behind him and whispered in his ear "Guess what today is..." He jumps and turns around. "The first day of Highschool." He says blandly. I can't believe he forgot my birthday. "No it's, well yes but it's my birthday." I say excited but I don't know why. "Oh right happy birthday." He says rudely. I dig in my locker when Simon (the cutest guy in school) walks up to his locker. "Hey do you know someone who could tutor me?" He asks. "Um yeah I could tutor you." He doesn't respond. He glares at me. I soon realized that he was on the phone. I bang my head on my locker door. "Why am I such an idiot?" I murmur. "Hey you're Carter right?" He asks me. "Me?" I point at my self stupidly. "Yeah who else." I notice we are the only people in the halls besides Kaleb. "Oh um i-it's Alex..." I barley make out above a whisper. "Oh sorry Alex. Hey you are smart? Right?" He states. "Yeah I guess. Why do you need a tutor or something." I exclaim. "Yeah or something. Would you tutor me?" "Yes!" I say a little to excited and quickly. "Cool we'll start Thursday." He says chill. "Yeah okay Thursday." I wink and walk away to algebra which I'm already late for. I zoned out the rest of the class.
Not good. I need a boyfriend. "Alex it's time for biology." Kaleb says stopping my thinking process. I lean towards him and kiss him. "Oh my gods!!! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that." He pulls me to him and kisses me again. Oh no. Does my best friend have feelings for me? I gag and pull away. "Kaleb what are you doing? You have a girlfriend what I did was an accident. That was not an accident Kaleb. I was just thinking about someone else and imagined them next to me you you saw me..." "So what if I saw you. You kissed me so I kissed you..." His girlfriend Amanda walks in when he says I kissed you. "Oh no." I turn Kaleb around so he was face to face with Amanda. "Oh crap." His jaw had dropped. " Amanda it's not what you think. She kissed me and I accidentally kissed her back. Please don't leave." She was crying. " Amanda this is all my fault I kissed him. It was an accident I thought he was Simon..." At that time Simon walked in. "Oh great." I smack my head and run out with my head down. "I'm sorry Amanda and Kaleb." I run to the girls bathroom and slide down to the floor and cry. "Why'd I have to ruin it?!" I ask myself while sobbing. I ruined my best friends relationship and ruined my chances with the guy of my dreams.
