Bundle Madness Drabble Part 17 (A Part 5.2)

As Charlie about to continue with the questions the others pipe in.

"Then what you doing here? You're not a paying customer; you're not meeting any of them?" Vaggie asked as she look at them suspiciously.

"A question is all to be answered."

"A question?" the princess asked. That why they are here? Just a question.

"Yes. Then I'll take my leave." Unless you all make it problematic. "Was it worth it?"

"What do you mean?"

"Was it worth your dream to have the first man and those angels killed?" Took another piece of chocolate off the bar. A pair of long glove thin fingers twirled it around.

Right. It's not the first she was bombarded with questions after they won the battle. Many wondering if she uses this chance to be like her parents did to fight against Heaven. Another war. Which she explains that's not the case. It was taking a stand not another war. After all she made it clear about her dream to get other redeemed. That hasn't change. It's just going to take longer and hopefully not be judge by this. That Heaven can see that this bloodshed has to stop.

"I didn't want to, but they gave me no choice."

"No, choice? That's the lamest excuse I heard."

Okay not what she expected to hear. "Pardon?

"So, you had no choice but to arm everyone here and cannibals with angelic steel. You had no choice but to let them eat the corpse of the fallen. You had no choice but to fight. You had no choice but to possible start a new problem that may not need to happen."

"It's true!"

"Give me a break. I heard better excuses from commenters."

"They were going to do two exterminations a year. Two."

"Doing this hellhole a favor."

Wide eye in horror.

"Tell me. Let's say those Exterminations actually was doing everyone a favor. Kill them. Maybe those souls were actually going to start over and whatever cling to their guilty, regret or made them a monster stays down here. Maybe a few get a double Hell for real punishment. Or a chance of purgatory."

"You don't know that." Not expecting those kinds of thoughts or what ifs. I mean it can't be.

"Neither do you. Any of you don't know because you never asked the right questions or listen. I mean you didn't seem to have question that one." Point at Vaggie.

Vaggie eye widen and glared. "Got a problem with me."

"A problem would mean I give a crap. I'm just saying. After learning another angel down here. Make you wonder maybe they do deserve being here. The first one truly did."

Everyone stunned but at the same time not saying anything. Not sure what to say at the same time not upsetting Charlie. How they purposely target Lucifer, but it was true. 

"Deserved? I didn't follow one order, and this happen to me!" Point at her missing eye.

Wag a finger at her. "You are telling me you wouldn't have able to call, explain the situation and be brought back. Never crossed your mind."

"They abandoned me!"

"You let them get eaten."

"They had it coming and shouldn't have followed Adam! Them dying is their fault following that sack of shit!" Vaggie snapped as she panted. Many of them looking at her wearily, step back or just enjoying it. Charlie touches her shoulder worriedly. Wonder what pain she went through.
