SO its for the book gurlies who sits and wait for love to find her.
*made out of imagination*
The sun had just dipped below the horizon (its the evening he confessed her)painting the sky in shades of pink, orange and purple. She stood by the window, her fingers lightly tracing the cool glass, watching the last light fade away with drizzles hitting the glass making the view blur. The room was silent except for the soft rustle of pages turning in the book she hadn't been able to focus on. Her thoughts kept drifting back to him.(y would he propose her?? like out of every one y her? because he was one of the nicest men she has ever met)
He hadn't said much when they met only a quiet smile that made her heart skip a beat and eyes that held stories of places she couldn't even imagine(a future with him HAHAHAH poor girl). But something about his presence... it made the air feel thicker, heavier, like the world held its breath whenever he was around. she knew what it was. still denied to accept the fact.
And then, her phone rings.
His number popped up, she picked up the phone. It was silent, both waiting for each other to respond. he said "Hello?" and for a second, the world outside disappeared for her.
"you have been waiting for me to call? and can't greet a hello?"he asked smile adoring his lips knowing how fast she was to pick up his call.
She didn't answer right away. She couldn't. she can picture THAT DAMN SMILE of him.
"You've been staring at the sunset for hours, haven't you?" he asked, his voice low, warm, like the sound of rain against the window. SO soothing like how in the world this guy know things about me????
She couldn't respond. Because in that moment, her heart wasn't listening to her. It was listening to him. Every word, every pause, every expressions that he would make. She realized, with a rush of something she couldn't name, that she was already falling for him.
He continued, with a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "You know, when the sun sets, it's like the world's giving you one last chance to make it right. Maybe we should both get one last chance too."
The way he said it like SO CASUALLY! but with an undertone of something deeper had her heart racing. She wished he was at her door right now .Is that too much to ask for ?(yes ofc it is too much to ask for duh)
as soon as she heard the door bell rings.
"open the door? can you?" he said .
she was STUNNED (brooo imagine this happening in real life. i might creep out but yeah this is a story they liiike eo)
she ran to the door steps and found him with flowers in his hand with a smile. she couldn't breathe. The air between them suddenly too heavy to breathe. There was no more need for words.
And in that silence, in that stolen moment, her heart whispered what she'd been too scared to admit: I think I'm already in love with you.
the end-
