Bongbong went out for golf with his best pals— Leo, Philip, and Gil. They were friends since they were high school in England. Of the four of them, only Bongbong entered politics while the rest are into business. Leo's family is in hospitality industry. Philip's family is in retail industry. Gil's family is in real estate business.
"Long drive naman tayo minsan." Leo said.
"Tara! It's been a long time since we've had a drive." Gil agreed.
Bongbong nodded excitedly, "I'm free next Sunday. Where are we off to?"
"I can't go, dude." Philip said. "It's family day."
"Kung Saturday, free ako, but Sunday, I'm not available too." Gil followed. "Sasamahan ko si misis mag shop for our inaanaks."
"Ohh okay." Bongbong nodded slowly.
"How about tomorrow?" Leo asked. It's still weekend.
"I can't." Bongbong said.
"Bakit sasamahan mo rin mag shop si Leni?" Leo jested.
Bongbong glared at his best friend.
The three laughed at Bongbong who's obviously not happy with the joke.
"Hindi yun nakakatawa." Bongbong rolled his eyes.
The three laughed again. They knew how to pissed Bongbong off.
"Hindi ka na nasanay sa mga Leni jokes namin! Masaya kaya!" Philip smirked. They laughed again.
"No, it's not!" Bongbong disagreed.
"Hay naku! Affected ka pa kasi eh." Gil made a point.
"No, I am not!" Bongbong snorted.
The three looks at Bongbong, unconvinced.
"Oh come on! It's been 15 years! Wala na kaming pakialamanan nun. She can do whatever she wants, and I can do whatever I want." Bongbong argued. "You know naman what happened diba? You were there the whole time."
"Actually, medyo malabo nga, dude." Leo said. "The whole 15 years was a blur."
Philip and Gil nodded.
Bongbong sighed in annoyance. "I don't know. Maybe we just fall out of love. Isang araw gumising nalang kami na hindi na namin mahal ang isa't-isa."
"Pwede ba yun?" Philip asked, unconvinced. "I mean, you were each other's first love and everything. Kahit nga siguro hindi kayo arranged marriage, papakasalan nyo pa rin ang isa't-isa."
Bongbong shrugged. "Maybe that's it. Baka dahil sa sobrang tagal namin, nagkasawaan na kami. Then, she realized na malaki pala ang mundo, na marami pala syang pwedeng makilalang iba bukod saakin. I don't know. Maybe, we both got tired and she wanted to a way out."
"Sa tingin nyo ba mahal talaga ni Leni yung boyfriend nya?" Leo suddenly asked.
"Well, matagal na sila. Halos isang dekada na sila magkasama." Gil pointed out. "I mean, why would she stay if hindi nya mahal yung boyfriend nya?"
"Well, she's with Bongbong since they're both 16 years old and they're 60 years old now. If that's not love, I don't know what is." Leo proved.
They all turned silent.
Bongbong stood up, sighing, "Let's not talk about that. Malabo na yung saamin ni Leni. Wala ng pakialam yun saakin and ganon din naman ako sa kanya. Let's just move forward with the things that matters."
Gil, Leo, and Philip just watched Bongbong walked away with his golf club.

"Manay, bumaba na ba si Bongbong?" Leni asked Manay Salve when she reached the kitchen.
