"Mommy?" Bongbong went inside their bedroom after getting a message from Benj.
"Yes?" Leni responded.
Bongbong didn't saw her immediately upon entering and figured she's inside their walk in closet. "Nakaland na daw sina Benj. Kakatext lang sa—" he was quite surprised seeing her still in her robe, "Bakit hindi ka pa nagbibihis?"
Leni pouted, looking at Bongbong through the mirror. Her hair was still covered with bath towel and she's not yet dressed. "Hinihintay ko message ni Irene. Di ko kasi alam kung anong isusuot ko."
He smirked. "Okay? So you asked Irene? Bakit ano daw ba isusuot nya?"
She shrugged. "I asked her kanina, sabi nya hindi nya din daw sure kung anong dapat isuot. So now, I'm waiting for her to send me a picture kung anong suot nya."
They were preparing to meet Daphne's family today. Will insisted that Benj and Chiqui must go home, so they would be complete. He also invited his titas but Imee and Aimee couldn't make it due to their schedule. Irene committed to come though. Izzy was the punong abala, coordinating with the family, catering services, and other stuff.
"Actually," Bongbong sat beside her, "Hindi ko rin alam kung anong isusuot ko."
She looked at him, "Right?! I mean, this is our first time to do this thing! Nung kinasal yung mga anak ni Manang Imee, hindi naman ganito yun. We had a big engagement party that time. Nung kinasal tayo, wala ding ganito."
"Well," He wrapped an arm over her waist, "Daphne's family is different. She didn't come from a family of politicians or businessmen. Principal pareho ang parents nya, and according to Izzy, simple lang daw ang family ni Daphne. That's why, ayaw din ni Will ng malaking engagement party."
She sighed, nodding. "I understand naman." She rest her head on his shoulder.
"Gusto ni Will na maging parte ng pamilya ni Daphne and we agreed na susuportahan natin sya." He said.
She nodded, "Of course. May tiwala naman ako desisyon ni Will. It's just that..." she sighed, "Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin. I mean, this chapter is new to us and parang ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. I'm happy for Will and Daphne, I'm happy for us, pero I can't stop worrying."
He frowned, "About what?"
She looked up to him, pouting, "What if hindi natin makasundo yung parents ni Daphne? We haven't met them before, and it's odd na first meeting natin pamamanhikan na agad. Tapos nabuntis pa ng anak natin yung anak nila. I mean..." she's worried, "Hindi ko nga alam kung anong isusuot eh, paano pa kaya pag nandun na tayo? Paano pag ayaw nila saatin, dad?"
He hugged her tight, "I get it. Ako din naman iniisip ko yan, but we don't really have a choice here. Plus, confident naman ako na makakasundo natin sila. Hindi naman magugustuhan ni Will si Daphne kung hindi sya mabuting tao diba?"
She nodded. "Yeah."
He smiled and kissed her temple.
They just sat there, hugging each other for a few minutes. They were just silently looking at themselves through the mirror.
Until Leni was hit by a realization, "Oh my god! Hindi na saatin magpapasko si Will."
His eyes widened, realizing it too.
"Right?! Or maybe new year?" She was overthinking.
He nodded, trying to console her, "At least magkaka-apo na tayo."
"Mom? Dad?" It was Izzy who came and found them inside the walk in closet. "O what's happening? You guys good?"
Bongbong and Leni looked at their eldest child, "Yes. Why? Nandyan na ba sina Chiqui?" Bongbong asked.
