Hiiiiiiii, so I was going through my old stuff and found this story prompt I made when I was 8ish. So I made it darker and wrote a short story, enjoy.

As the sun shined its beautiful rays spreading its warmth throughout the park on that beautiful June afternoon, Anpu jogged through the park, partaking in this usual afternoon run. His eyes fell on something shining by the edge of the grass. Walking up to it he felt a sudden pang of curiosity in him about whatever was gleaming in the sunlight. He squinted his eyes and he bent down to pick it up. It was a photo, of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She had pin-straight silky black hair and wore a flowy white dress with a pair of white sneakers, holding up a peace sign with her right hand. While Anpu continued to examine the photo his eyes fell on the girl’s, she had the most mesmerizing emerald green eyes he had ever seen. He became obsessed with finding this girl.

As the months went by, the once goofy, sports addicted Anpu became silent. He didn’t talk nearly as much as he used to and dropped all activities. Slowly his mind turned dark, increasingly becoming more insane trying to find this girl. Soon it was late October, Halloween in fact, and the school buzzed with excitement, gossip about everything flew through the ears. People asked what Anpu was doing and he didn’t reply, running off in the other direction instead. Anpu’s friends tried to get him to get over the girl, saying his obsession as gotten to far. However that just made the boy mad and he left, a feeling a dread fell over the school.

When he got home that afternoon, Anpu went straight to his room, as per usual for the past few months. His brother called from his college which cheered him up a bit. They talked for hours, about the most random stuff imaginable. But, when Anpu brought up the girl, his brother lost him, ranting about how unhealthy his infatuation with this girl was. Anpu was infuriated, ending the call almost immdeitatly and storming out of the blasted house. He walked, walked through the park, through the neighborhoods and markets until he found himself on the sidewalk of the road that earned the reputation for being the most busy in the city. It was swarming with cars flying by.

He looked to his left, across the road and onto of the hill on the other side. What he saw shock him to the core, excitment filling him up from head to toe. The girl from the picture was standing there, so close in reach. Her pin straight black hair reaching the straight of her back, wearing the same flowy dress and white sneakers, waving him over. He stared at her beautiful green eyes and ran across the road. Everything left his brain as he sprinted across the wide road.

However then the girl transformed, her once long black hair as a blob of white on top of of a face that matched the color of snow. The girl’s once flowy white dress was now dirty rags sewed together and she body was bony, as if she had been starved for years. And those once beautiful emerald green eyes were a void of darkness, and everything went black for Anpu.

People ran out of their cars, checking on the boy that got hit by a car. Everything about him looked fine, except for two things. The arm that was holding his picture was bent as if it was snapped in half, bone sticking out. Blood dripped from his eyes, as if he was crying from the beyond. Detectives, police, and an ambulance rushed to the seen however, it was too late. The detectives took the picture and examined it. It was a picture of a girl, black hair, green eyes, flowy white dress, holding up 3 fingers.
