5 months and 5 days since you and Oikawa broke up. He drove you crazy, all his fangirls and his constant egotistical tactics. His hypocritical mind, he wanted you to be his, and his only. In his eyes, you couldn't talk to guys but for him he was allowed to due to his 'fame' at Aoba Johsai.
"Tooru I'm..done. I'm not dealing with this anymore." You glared at his bedroom floor, unable to meet his gaze. You didn't want to extend the argument in any way shape or form so, you needed to end the relationship before the both of you got out of hand.
"What? What'd you say?" He spoke with a questioning tone. He walked over and grabbed your chin. "If you say that to me at least be able to look me in the eyes. What did you say."
"I'm breaking up with you, what we have isn't the same anymore." You glared at him, and he glared back. You couldn't tell if it was anger or hurt. Either way you knew that this was for the best, for now at least.
"Yea yea, it's not like I won't find another girl anyways." He spoke with venom in his voice. He let go of your chin and walked over to his bed "well if you're done with me then you can go."
You immediately grabbed your backpack you'd plopped on his floor only an hour ago when you two had came to his house from school. You walked to his bedroom door and opened it, walking out and closing it behind him. You stepped out of his front door, and you quickly walked away from his property and onto the sidewalk. As soon as you were a few houses away from his, you felt a tear slip from your eye, you haven't expected him to react to the breakup that way. 'Yea yea, it's not like I won't find another girl anyways' rang through your head the whole walk home. When you had arrived, you flopped on your bed, letting out all your tears. You hated the fact he made you feel so..weak. Pathetic is all you could tie to yourself right now, even after months of dating he can just let it all go like that? You had expected maybe an apology for his actions, or even an explanation but definitely not those words.
TIMESKIP
The next few days were awkward, especially at school. It was like you could always feel eyes glued to the back of your head. You heard some girls that were practically in live with Oikawa whispering about you in class.
'Did they break up? Hopefully!'
'I heard apparently SHE broke up with him...can you imagine leaving him'
'She was so lucky, to throw it all away is insane.'
'Maybe I can have a chance now'
It was all driving you crazy. You wanted nothing more for them to shut up, and maybe mind their business but obviously being the now ex of Oikawa Tooru that wasn't going to happen. It was almost like the universe was punishing you, everywhere you turned, he was there. A walk to the bathroom? Oikawa would be in the hall coincidentally. Going to get lunch? Oikawa would be in the same line as you. Walking home from school? Oikawa would happen to pass by you. It felt like a curse since all you wanted to do was move on and heal, yet you couldn't.
Fortunately life got easier, you weren't the topic of discussion, everyone seemed to have forgotten and moved on, except for one. Oikawa had been staring at you in class one day, eyes glued to your hair. For some odd reason he felt a warmness in his chest, did he miss you? He shook the thought away, his pride being too large for him to admit something like that. With the looks that he had and the popularity he had there was no reason for him to be missing a stupid ex. Yet he did, and the more that life went on it seemed that he missed you more. The support at his games, the late night talks, the walks around the park, the dates, the kisses, the hugs, everything.
The bell rung and he was snapped out of his thoughts, flipping his notebook shut and packing his bag, when he had felt a tap on the shoulder.
"Oikawa, you comin to you party at mine tonight?" It was Makki, he was hosting a halloween party and one thing about a Aoba Johsai volleyball member's party, they were going to be huge. Everyone who wanted to go could go, they were huge and invites were sent out weeks in preparation.
"Oh yea, obviously I'll be there it wouldn't be a party without me" he said with a smirk and a playful tone.
"I'll text you details but you should know like my house and stuff, Iwa knows more so ask him if you need anything." And with that, he walked off. Oikawa then packed the rest of his things and got up, leaving to head home.
The ONLY thing he could think of was if you'd be at the party, and he was going to find out.
