Unknown Caller...

Eunbi gulped as she stared down at her phone. Her gut told her not to pick up, but if she missed one more call from Taeyong she'd be in serious trouble. Even more than she was already in.

Hesitantly, she hovered her finger over the answer button and pulled the phone to her ear.

This better be Taeyong.

"Hello?" said Eunbi, her stomach eating itself alive in anticipation.

The voice on the other end let out a loud sigh before speaking.

"Lee Eunbi, what do you think you're doing, huh? Are you trying to embarrass this family even more?"

That was definitely not Taeyong.

"Do you seriously think I won't be able to find you? I've got people all over the city looking for you and when I catch you-"

Instantly, Eunbi hung up the phone, frantically scanning her surroundings to make sure no one was watching her.

She needed to get out of here and she needed to do it fast.

With one last glance toward the street, Eunbi began making her way back to Taeyong and his goon's hideout, cautiously looking over her shoulder now and then to make sure no one was trailing her.

"Fuck," Eunbi uttered as she snuck through the rotted windowsill, noticing Taeyong on the couch.

"Done already? Did you get what I needed?" asked Taeyong, eyeing the girl as he took a drag from his vape.

Eunbi's jaw clenched as she shook her head, preparing herself for Taeyong's disappointment.

"My father found my new number and threatened me. I needed to get out of there before he found me."

Taeyong scoffed at the girl's excuses, standing up from the couch and moving closer to her.

"He won't need to come find you if you keep screwing up. I'll call him here myself to come get you and send you right back to that hole where you came from for some quick cash," Taeyong replied, eyes narrowed. Eunbi's nostrils flared as she stared up at the man.

"Go ahead. Call him and get yourself in trouble too. After all, you're the one hiding me from him, aren't you? And trust me when I say he won't go easy on you," Eunbi spat back, hoping that her threat would mask her anxiety.

There was no way she was going back home. Not now. Not ever.

Taeyong's eyes grew angry as he stepped even closer, gripping harshly on Eunbi's jaw.

"You listen here, little bitch. You'd already be back in that fucking house if it wasn't for me finding you wandering aimlessly in the streets. You should be grateful for me, but instead, you act like an ingrate," Taeyong spat, eyes shaking as he stared angrily.
