Enemies can't be lovers

The start

"Stop right there!" I yell out as I run after Robin. We ran for a few more seconds before he stopped suddenly. He turned around so quickly that I didn't have time to comprehend what was about to happen. In a flash I was punched to the ground like a sack of potatoes. I, still trying to regain focus, was pinned to the ground by the tip of Robin's gun.

"What are you gonna do? Shoot me?" I grinned as Robin gave a cocky smile.

"You know I wouldn't do that to you BB, I cherish you too much." He laughed as he pointed the gun barrel at my forehead.

Now you're probably wondering why Robin knocked me on the ground and gave me some cheesy line. Well it's a long story but I think if you're interested enough from the part I just told then you'll be able to find what I'm about to tell you interesting.

Beastboys pov:

As we got home, we were all preparing for the back and forth arguing between two specific teammates, Robin and Cyborg. Something had come up during battle which caused Cyborg to make a split decision that went against Robin's plan.

"Cyborg, this is the last time I'm asking, why didnt you follow my orders!" Robin said, his voice getting a bit louder.

"I dont know maybe because it wouldn't have worked!"

"It would! And even if it hadn't I had a second plan just in case, but no, it didn't go well because if a certain tin man!"

"Tch. That was because of you. If i hadn't done what I did, then the situation we were in would have been worse!" Cyborg crossed his arms in defense.

"And who said that!"

"Me! I say that because what you did back there was dangerous!"

As tension kepted getting thicker starfire tried interfering. "Friend Cyborg, Robin, arguing won't resolve anything." She places a hand on Robin's shoulder. "Please.."

Robin looked at her with a regretful look. As he sighed, he moved his gaze to Cyborg and gritted his teeth. "Sorry Cy.. I shouldn't have blamed you for what happened. You.. you're right. The plan would have failed." He looks down and says quietly. "Do you forgive me."

Cyborg's annoyed face turned into a caring smile. "Of course man, sorry for yelling and pointing fingers as well."

"Oh goody! You have made up oh so quickly." Starfire cheered as she hugged Robin and kissed his cheek. Robin turned a light shade of pink as she continued to squeeze him in the hug.

"Yeah, I mean, how could I be mad at one of my best buddies for so long?" Cyborg said as he ruffled Robin's hair. Looking up at me, Cy gave me a smile. "Hey BB, want to play video games?"

I gave him a warm smile and quickly ran to the couch. "Heck yeah dude! I'm going to beat you every round!" As he sat down, Robin walked was about to walk away with Starfire, when all of a sudden I yelled for him. "Hey Robin!" He looked back at me confused. "Do you want to play too?"

"Uh.. play.. Sure, if your fine with that Star. You know cause I don't want to leave you alone.."

"It's fine Robin. Go play the video games with them, I'm going to be with Friend Raven!" She said, giving Robin one lass kiss on the lips, as she quickly flew to Raven.

"Wait what-" Before she could finish her sentence, Starfire grabbed her arm and zipped to her room with Raven.

"You never ask Robin to play, why the sudden change?" Cyborg asked me as he set the game up.

"I just thought that since me and Robin haven't been hanging out as much since he and Star, you know, started dating." He hummed and nodded in agreement as Robin arrived and sat down next to me.

"So.. should I play after one of you fails?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think that'd work." I said as I grabbed a remote along with Cy.

During the round, I could notice by the corner of my eye Robin paying attention intensely. 'That was bad news.' I thought to myself. Usually when he pays attention like that he makes a plan to defeat the villain, or in this case, the game opponent.

"YES! BOOYAH!" Cyborg said.

"Hey no fair.. I got distracted!" He looked at me with a smug face.

"Well that's your loss BB"  With an annoyed look, I turned to Robin and handed the controller.

"Thanks." He said grabbing it and turning to the screen.

And as expected Robin was somehow beating Cyborg at the game.

"Wow, this is so easy." Robin looked at me with a confused look. "Beastboy, how did you lose?"

"You serious.. how did you win? You haven't even played for like a whole year!?" I said.

"Yeah man, how'd you figure out how to beat me?" Cyborg handed the remote to me as he said that.

"I'm good at figuring out things just by looking at them. It's not that hard. Maybe I could teach you guys someday-"

"Can you teach me!?" I yelled out unexpectedly. I don't know why but all I know is that I wanted to hang out with Robin more.

"Yeah sure I can. After the game okay." He told me, still shocked by the sudden question from me.

After that, I kept stealing glances to him as we played.I was glad we would hang out more, but disappointedit was because he had to teach me. Although... a small part of me is happy I'm learning from Robin, former sidekick of batman and leader of the team . It was up until 10 Robin decided to go to bed. It was always the time he went to bed, but a small part of me thought that he didn't sleep, he'd just.. think. But I'm probably just being paranoid.

"Hey Beast Boy." I turned to look at him, "Tomorrow I'll teach you my way of finding out how to beat someone in a fight or even a game." At like that he left.

Okay.. I guess Tomorrow will be the day. The day we hang out.. for once.
