Dexpa blasted the door open with a thunderbolt and barged inside.

Piles of bones encircled the edges of the room. There was a stone plaza in the center, before the throne chair. It looked nearly identical to the plaza in The Fringe, but it was smaller and surrounded by stone pillars.

In the center of the plaza stood the flesh abomination. "That's the one we saw on the day of the Greymarch," Dexpa noted. Decaying leopard fur covered its skin. It had fleshy stubs for hands, dried blood in the cracks of its skin, and stood three times the height of the average man with bulking muscles to match.

"It took you five years to come back for me," Mo'nazar said.

"Mo'nazar," Dexpa gasped, noticing his old friend sitting in the throne chair, surrounded by the purple glow of the two lanterns on each side of him. The moonlight shined through the window behind him.

"Don't give me that!" Mo'nazar shouted, clawing at the sides of his head. He gathered himself again and continued. "You know, a lot can happen to someone in five years." Mo'nazar got out of his throne and began casting a spell.

"Mo'nazar, just listen to us," Jo'navir started to say.

Mo'nazar continued his spell. "There's nothing you can say that'll change my mind," he said.

"Please, Mo'nazar," Dexpa said taking a step closer.

"You have no idea what it was like! Being stuck in there...What I've been through because of you," Mo'nazar whined. "Not like you would care, right?" He started laughing at himself. "You'd just leave the moment I became an inconvenience to you."

"It wasn't like that!" Dexpa yelled.

"I don't want to hear it!" Mo'nazar screamed back. "I'm done. I'm going to make you experience all the suffering you inflicted upon me several times over." He finally unleashed the spell. "Rise! My creations!"

Suddenly, the bones around the room began to clank together, slowly crafting themselves into a small army of bone colossi. The colossi quickly surrounded Dexpa and Jo'navir.

"Kill them!" Mo'nazar commanded. He sat back down in his throne and watched them with wide eyes.

Dexpa kept the bone colossi distracted with his chain lightning, drawing their attention to himself. Meanwhile, Vaskr and Jo'navir rushed in to fight the flesh abomination in the center.

Vaskr lodged his teeth into its leg, but the abomination shook him off with ease. It ignored the wolf and focused an attack on Jo'navir, slamming its stubby fist into the ground before him. The shockwave knocked him backwards.

"Woah," Jo'navir gasped as he caught himself from falling over. He couldn't believe the strength behind the flesh abominations attack. "One hit from that and it's over," he thought.

Dexpa switched from using chain lightning to thunderbolt, taking out several of the weakened colossi. One of them got too close and smacked Dexpa in the side with its massive bone arm. He was injured and thrown out of the plaza but managed to pick himself up and finish the colossus off with another thunderbolt.

"Argg," Dexpa grunted, as he held his side. There was only one colossus left, but it focused its aggression on Jo'navir. "Look out!" Dexpa yelled.

Jo'navir turned his attention away from Vaskr and the flesh abomination, noticing the bone colossus now sprinting straight at him. The creature was massive, allowing Jo'navir to slide beneath its legs and cut through them with his axe along the way. The creature fell to eye level, allowing him to finally decapitate it.

Jo'navir sighed in relief and checked back in on Vaskr, but when he looked over, he saw Vaskr being held in the flesh abomination's grip and thrown to the ground with intense speed.
