Jo'navir began his voyage northeast following the river along the trail. Eventually he reached an open field with a huge gated off city not too far from him, and a tower close by, standing alone in the plains.
Suddenly, he could hear screams coming from the tower. When he looked closer, he could see a dragon circling the tower around blasting a cone of fire to the ground below.
There were people in yellow armor fighting alongside an adventurer. With time, the adventurer was able to slay the beast before it could do any more damage.
But when the dragon collapsed, its body began to glow. Suddenly its visible energy seemed to be sucked out and transferred into the body of the adventurer.
"What is going on here?" Jo'navir asked himself. "This place is crazy. I need to go."
He left the scene and soon found himself at what appeared to be a camp with dead animals lying about. He took a deer corpse for the road, hanging it over his shoulder and departing. But as he was leaving, the ground began to shake. Heavy footsteps approached him at a rapid speed.
As he turned around, he saw a giant humanoid creature stomping its way towards him, waving around a huge bone in one of its hands. Jo'navir panicked, slicing a leg off the deer and running with it, leaving the rest behind.
However, the giant was already too close. It swung its weapon at Jo'navir, smacking his arm and sending him flying the other direction, skidding atop the dirt and landing against a rock.
Luckily for him, the giant was satisfied. It grabbed the legless deer carcass and brought it back to its camp.
"What the heck was that thing?" Jo'navir asked, still sitting against the rock.
His limbs were scratched and bruised, his shoulders were numb, and his arm that got hit by the bone weapon was pulsing viciously. "Ahhhggg!" he screamed, as he tried to push himself up to standing. "I need to find a place to rest."
He started heading towards the city he saw earlier, noticing the deer leg he cut off along the way. "There's you are," he said. But as we went to pick it up, he began to hear footsteps again.
Suddenly an injured male wolf approached Jo'navir who now held the deer leg in his hands. The wolf was hurt and alone, just like Jo'navir. It walked with a limp in its step.
"I guess that makes two of us," Jo'navir noted the wolf's struggle. He looked down at the deer meat in his hand and began to ponder. "Alright, fine. This is what you want right?" he said, slicing off a slab and presenting it to the wolf.
The animal inched closer, analyzing Jo'navir cautiously. Jo'navir was careful not to make any sudden movements. "Come on, I don't bite. As long as you don't."
When the hungry wolf was close enough, it swiftly snatched away the slab of meat. It retreated a short distance away, keeping a watchful eye on Jo'navir as it ate. Surprisingly, when it finished, it approached Jo'navir once again. It's body language showed signs of relaxation.
"You want seconds?" Jo'navir asked. "Fine." He cut off another chunk of meat, handing it to the wolf. But instead of grabbing it away this time, it began to eat out of Jo'navir's hand, careful to avoid his fingers.
"Poor thing," Jo'navir said. "Well, do you trust me now?" He slowly reached his free hand over the wolf's head as it ate. The creature's ears perked up and its body froze, silencing its chewing for a moment. It eyed the hand slowly moving above it.
Jo'navir finally placed his hand on the wolf's head as gently as he could. As he made contact, it's ears came back down, and its entire body began to finally relax.
