Chapter 11

"I went with Mako to the company cause he wanted to drop something off to Asami, and I saw Ginger walk out the building, i had to go say hello" he laughed

"Yeah, and he asked me on a date and everything" Ginger added

Bolin couldn't help but stare at Ginger. She looked familiar but couldn't pin point it. Maybe at the company when he went to visit Opal.

The group talked a bit more before Kai had an idea.

"Guess what time it is?" Kai said excitedly

"Oh no, not the game" Bolin whined

"Game?" Opal questioned

"Every year for Kai's birthday, we play a stupid card game he finds" Mako said

"And every year it gets worse" Korra added

"What's the game?" Ginger asked

"All we know is that it's going to be a drinking game where we'll pass out" Iroh rubbed his forehead not ready for what was to come

"Last year it was a never how I ever, and you drink if you did, Bolin was sick for 2 days" Korra said "the game Kai picks is always the most personal games"

"It really is, you want to get to know somebody on a way too personal level, ask Kai to borrow a game" Mako said

"Why do you want to know personal stuff?" Asami asked Kai

"I don't, and people don't want me to know them so they drink and get drunk and it's funny to watch" Kai smiled

"You're pure evil" Opal giggled

"Let's set up outside away from the music" Jinora suggested

"I'll get the game" Kai said excitedly "Korra, come help me get some stuff"

Everyone but Kai and Korra went outside to the patio. There was 3 couches, two long one facing each other and a short one in the center creating a U, with a coffee table in the center. From one edge to the other, the sitting order was, Ginger, Iroh, Mako and Asami in one large couch, Jinora in the short couch with a space for Kai and Bolin and Opal on the other long couch with a large space for Korra.

Korra followed Kai to his room. She knew Kai didn't need help, he knew what was going on. "She's dating Mako?! You never mentioned that!"

"She never mentioned it to me!" Korra defended herself

"What are you going to do?" He asked

"I don't know" Korra paced around his room while he took out his bin of games to look for the new one he purchased for today "I'm going to have to tell her that I'm done"

"What?!" Kai stopped what he was doing to look at the girl "you can't!"

"Kai, she's dating our friend"

"Since when did you care about Mako?" He made a stank face

"I always cared about Mako" she claimed "yes, he caused me pain, but I didn't care for him less. He doesn't deserve this"
